David Kim View Results David Ermold returned to the Rowan County courthouse in Kentucky, 2 years after Christian Kook, Kim Davis refused to give him a marriage license..but this time he didn't want a license, he wants her JOB because now he's challenging her SEAT!! He filed a run to county clerk hoping to challenge the religious nutcase who denied him 2 years ago and said to him "God's authority prohibited her from complying with the US Supreme Court decision that effectively legalized gay marriage nationwide" He and others sued her and Kim would spend 5 days in Jail for disobeyinga federal judge's order. She emerged from the jailhouse lawn, arm in arm with a Republican presidential candidate as a MARTYR for some conservatives In 2 years, things have quieted down in the Appalachian town known for a college basketball team that qualified for the NCAA tournament. Kim is running for re-electin and faces voteres for the first time since refusing to issue marriage licenses. She was a Democrat up until the event and then switched to Republican. David wanted to set things right as he said a clerk's religious beleifs should not supercede a government order. Kim was asked if she deserved to be re-elected and she said "that will be up to the people. I think i do a good job". She doesn't object to issuing marriage licenses now that the law changed so her name isn't on the license. She's been working at the office for nearly 3 decades as it could be the end for her. Davis was a Democrat but felt betrayed when then Democratic governor refused to issue an executive order to remove names of clerks from marriage licenses so she switched to Republican. But she has a problem because whlie Trump overwhelmingly won the county in the election, almost all local elected officials are Democrrats.. 56 y/o Tim Keeton doesn't know who he'll vote for but sais Davis does a good job as a clerk but was troubled by her decision on issuing marriage licenses. David has 2 master's degree, one in English and the other in communications and teaches English at the University of Pikeville. He says he has more than qualified to run for office but his campaign won't solely focus on LGBT Rights. Davis on the other hand dresses like a polygamist wife and never went to college but identifies herself as a child of GOD and said "JESUS PAID IT ALL"..meaning life on earth. Who would you vote for?
