Modern tractors and farming equipment are heavily computerized with stuff like GPS settings and whatnot.

The problem is that theyre very expensive investments that are hard to pay back. Along with shit companies like Monsanto basically forcing farmers to buy their seeds, farming is very expensive and its hard to actually make money doing it.

Monsanto is only part of the problem.

Farmers are going further into debt because of taxes on the land they own that they can't afford to pay. So as a result they sell off what they own and then have to rent it back from the people they sold it to and it just keeps getting worse and worse.

Jimmy Carter was the last time we actually had any people in power that actually cared about farmers.

Awful to see that Republicans arent going to bat for these people who seem to primarily live in Republican states, but its a shame that more attention isnt brought to this by Democrats either.

It's all pandering to the constituency.
