Open. My cats like to be in the room with us, or they sit out there crying all night. They open the door anyway and if we try to lock it then they keep me up with the constant pawing at the handle.

Closed. I turn off the main light in my room but there are still some lights from electronics here and there so it's not completely dark.

Closed, like to make sure it is as quiet as possible for people sleeping, I get home late on weekends so I try to make sure I am not waking the house or cause thr dogs to bark.

Most times the ladies are still awake but on the few times they are not the door closed allows them to continue sleeping when I get home.

I used to sleep in my underwear/nude as well, but then my mom bought a used mattress and we suddenly had bedbugs -- now I steam my bed and my walls once a week. Having shit crawl on you is an intensely uncomfortable sensation. Good news is that the infestation seems to be on the way out; maybe I'll actually be able to sleep naked again soon.

Dude never ever accept a used mattress, that is where you sleep, it should always be newly bought so you dont have bed buga and other shit.

People can be extremely dirty, their bed is a reflection of this.

It was either my younger sister or one of her friends. She moved out a few months ago, but I still lock my door out of habit whilst inside my room -- though I don't lock it when I leave anymore. This wasn't really a one time thing either -- back when I used to smoke her and her friend convinced my niece (who at time was maybe 9 or 10) to steal a bunch of my cigarettes as I was napping in the living room, I had maybe 5-6 left out of a pack I had bought that day. I also had a laptop stolen whilst I went away for a few days for some work I was doing.

All of these events have made me extremely paranoid about people touching my stuff, and you've made me realize just now how much of my shit has been stolen throughout my life.

It's often closed when I go to bed because I go to bed before my fiance and that prevents his noises from affecting me. When he comes up to bed the door stays open, because it's just us in the place.

Closed and locked. Me and my girlfriend both have pretty active dream cycles, and so sometimes we'll hallucinate before we wake up. Too often if the door is open I'll see figures in the doorway, and if it isn't locked the door will slowly open.
