Darklit_Minuet 12/03/17 4:12:34 AM #5:	Yeah but at least there's reasons to do so. I like level grinding, increasing the numbers, and being strong enough to defeat all the superbosses. That's a reward in itself. But I've never gotten a single platinum, despite the fact that I do almost everything there is to do in games. Because if I don't feel the reward of doing something is worth doing it, I just don't bother. Take Final Fantasy 10 - I maxed out my stats and defeated all the obscenely powerful superbosses, but I never bothered doing the lightning dodging or butterfly catching minigame. I could easily get the game platinum'd in about half an hour if I really wanted to, but it's like...those minigames don't give you any worthwhile rewards. "Ultimate" weapons for two characters who are completely and utterly useless in the postgame. So I'm not going to waste my time on it. You find getting maxing out stats on a game you already know well fun, some people like playing a familiar game on a harder difficulty or doing something you don't normally do in it. Xbox one x is a hit. I fucking hate the ps menu and interface, store sucks, everything feels clunky and doing everything just sucks and I have to Google it Xbox makes it so easy. Game pass and EA are amazing. Like, the psn store is dog shit, there is no question about that. I'm very salty about many lacking search functionality, especially when I try to browse on my PC. But achievements? I think in terms of hardware, OS, controller, and interface, the Xbox is better but it seems like the system is leaning more towards becoming just a service box for people who haven't switched over to PC gaming yet. I get that the Xbox division is getting hurt because of low sales but it's like MS isn't even trying. Forza is still going strong but racing is a polarizing genre, and then what else is there? The worst Halo game in the entire franchise & the worst Gears game in the entire franchise. What else is there? Cuphead? Meanwhile Lionhead is dead, Rare is a zombie, etc I am unhappy with how Sony has been changing or nixing a lot of their big franchises (canning Twisted Metal, fucking up God of War, etc) but at least they are still putting out some solid games on occasion and even playing up to nostalgia sometimes with stuff like the Crash Bandicoot Collection, which I appreciate.
