The free trial is the worst. I got at least four packages late during that. When I subscribed for real much later, I got everything on time. Its a pretty shitty tactic to enrage trial users, and Im sure we arent alone.

I only back-pedalled because they gave me $5 every time something was late and I wanted it for other things.

I think Amazon is going through a business rut right now or something. I've been shopping with them for 2 years and recently I've had late items, and a few items haven't been in stock that normally would be, pre-ordered items weren't in stock even 1 whole month after release date, etc. I'm seeing recent frequent complaints across many Gamefaqs boards right now.
I'm sure they'll pull through eventually though, after the holidays at least (hopefully). They just need to get their shit together. Amazon is still the best online shopping site there is.

so, amazon isn't to blame if your items don't arrive on time.

that's fedex, ups, or usps. not amazon.

once the box leaves the warehouse, it's out of their hands. the most they can do is call the shipping company and tell them to not deliver it and return it to them.

This. It's our fault (UPS).

Amazon straight up stole $100 from me with that "free trial". It automatically renews, "not free". No notification or warning.

Thieves. They know what they're doing.

Also, you would have to be spending something like $1000 on Amazon annually to make that worth it.

Well it does normally say when you sign up.

Id imagine you contacted their customer service and got the service cancelled and refunded at least.

Yeah

All small.

I did manage to get a refund, though. Somehow.

This is the same train of thought that people who get season passes and the like, then complain that they didn't at all the dlc day one. No company has ever done this and all free trials that I know of, charge you at the end. To assume different is silly.

I just assumed when it said free it meant free, you know. I'm typically pretty good with my money.

I pay $7 a month for my Android phone.

Whether or not I fell for it they clearly try to get you for it.

I get that, but that's just how a majority (basically all free trials) are if it is a subscription based service. It is rare to see one that actually cancel the service.

Rule of thumb, if a free trial asks for your credit card information, assume it will charge you at the end of it. Just so you know for next time.
