Since you're so against it, why not just give the money away? Keeping it for yourself seems inauthentic. Maybe help out the disenfranchised?

It's cute that you think the average person will get savings from this. Are you paying any attention at all?

Middle class here. Im getting taxed more and tax bill adds a 1.5 trillion deficit. The rich get tax reductions and im supposed to be happy about it? Crappy deal all around. Lose-lose. Corporate profits are at a all time high. The rich dont need a tax cut. The middle class do. Fiscally responsible republicans know this. Which is why the bill is having a hard time passing. Otherwise passing the bill would have been a no brainer.

This topic is useless because conservatives themselves are not passing the bill. This has nothing to do with liberals and everything to do with conservatives.

So you didn't answer my question while at the same time acknowledging savings.

Some people making a few hundred grand a year are going to save several thousand, so sure, they save more. But is a few thousand dollars life changing to them when they make $300,000 per year? No. Is $600-$1,500 life changing for a single person making $45,000 a year? Not particularly.

It all helps, though. For example, if you're single and wind up saving $800---that's still $800 you didn't have. For some, that's free gas for an entire year or more. For others, that's a free trip to Vegas even if you lose gambling. It's a few months worth of food from a grocery store, or it's going out to a nice restaurant and splurging on $50 plates multiple times throughout the year.

So, I'll ask again---what are you going to do with your savings? Most people will save some money. "Not a lot" is relative. It's still saving money.

"Most people will save some money"

No, no they in fact won't. You're delusional if you think otherwise. The only thing the average man can hope for is that this bill will leave his status unchanged.

Also, a 15% tax break for the extremely wealthy is FAR more than "several thousand" dollars. Some people will be saving more money than the median income for an American family

For those of more modest means, however, the news is not so good. By 2027, after most of the individual cuts in the bill expire (and the corporate cuts remain), households earning between $75,000 and $100,000 will see, on average, no tax cut. And households earning less than $75,000 per year will see, on average, a tax increase.

It would be nice if we actually spent more money on infrastructure instead of needlessly inflating our defense budget.

Various sources... some conservative, some liberal, some neutral. It's pretty obvious most people are going to save some money.

You can quit the song and dance of "well not in 8 years". I mean, come on.

So now I've answered yours... answer mine! If you save money, Doom, are you going to give it away because you don't support the bill?
