So has anyone else experienced random crashing? I've had two. The first time it crashed trying to load a cutscene, ended up not being so bad. This time it crashed just in a random store menu and I lost an hour of progress. Huge bummer.

I literally just had a crash during a cutscene and lost about an hour as well. I cant believe this game doesnt have a better auto save.

That really just sapped my desire to even continue right now.

But yeah save often because the only other auto-save the game has is when you use core crystals.

So I'm taking a week off from work for the holidays and going to be traveling a lot. I was thinking about picking this game up to have something to play but I never played the first one. I played the first Xenosaga game a long time ago but is there a lot of story I'll need to catch up on first?

I know it's closer to Final Fantasy in that the games aren't connected but there are some hints at other games? Could anyone compare this to any other JRPGs to know what I'm getting myself in to? It's been a while since I've played one.

So I went grinding again and I ended up with 30 common and 19 rare crystals after a little over an hour.

Got nothing.

Got my second rare blade! Godfrey on Nia. >_>

Between that and Rex getting a healer my first couple have been pretty silly. Though I guess maybe Nia could make a fair enough off-tank. Now I'm torn between trying to pull more rare blades for Rex or saving them until I get a new party member to get them caught up.

Two healers and a tank seems to work okay for Nia, though sometimes she'll stay on the tank even while your health is low. So just be prepared to pop Pyra in for Anchor Shot (or set up a Blade combo that makes her want to switch back to a healer for the proper element).

i just got dark souls'd by this game.

doing the story quest to get some stuff for unclepon, leading me to some bridge that's really high up. one of those bird tribe monster scouts was on it and i tried to fight it. it started running and went into me, pushing me off the bridge and killing me from the drop

I gave up on grinding rare core crystals. Ive gotten 5 rare blades and exactly zero of them have come from rare cores - all commons. Between those 5 and the story ones Im reasonably stocked for now. Kinda sick of relying on RNG so Im just not going to care much about them anymore, even if it means I never get KOSMOS.

The completionist in me wants all Blades and quests. But I heard Ursulas affinity is ridiculous so I dont know about that.

The merc mission requirements for some Blades, and ---Roc--- needing Merc Level 5 to max seems like it's going to be ridiculous by the end. Like seriously some nodes need you to complete 16 missions to unlock. It'd be one thing if missions finished in real time, but man...

Huh. Was in an area of Mor Ardain with a number of level 80 monsters, and salvaged up one of those cloud sea monsters. Level 39, but I'm 38 so it was no problem. And defeating it got me a Lucky Core!

...oh. It's just a guaranteed rare hammer Blade... because I certainly don't have enough of those yet...
