Oh, yeah. I didn't go to the boards for a while when I first started using GameFaqs. Then I found the boards, but only read and didn't post for a while after that. Then I did once or twice. And now I do.

pretty much this, except the part about finding the forums. got around to a point in my life I stopped using guides and found the answers and boards more convenient for looking up answers to whatever specific thing I wanted help with. eventually got to a point where I didn't really want help with games period and just started talking for the sake of talking

I've been thinking and I think I found this site when I needed help with the Test of Fear in Starfox Adventures because I didn't know what to do.
Yeah it took me a couple of months until I finally realized I had to use the mothafuckin' controlstick. For all those months, I only tried to use the A button for some reason... I feel like a dumbass >___>

My elder brother used to come a lot on this website for pokemon emerald-fire red related stuff. Eventually I started coming here and yeah... thought PotD was the only board this website had. Recently I use reddit more frequently, as it has more topics to discuss

I actually remember, sort of. I was bored in a computer class way back in high school and searched for things about games. Stumbled upon some funny Sonic jokes (though I can't remember them anymore) on one of the boards here. I was mostly a lurker, though, until a couple years ago because of Super Mario Maker lol.

That is true in most cases. I do sort of remember a few.

I mean I still ask for help sometimes when it comes to elder scroll/fallout games, or other games that have the complexity when it comes to quests with multiple paths. that and sometimes finding certain things can be a pain the ass. don't know how many times in skyrim I couldn't find a lever for a door because of darkness and the lever being very similar to the wall color.

and i'm not positive how I found this site. but looking for a guide is the most likely answer by a long shot. was damn near 20 years ago.

I don't think I've used many actual FAQs here. Mostly walkthroughs and cheats. And when those aren't enough, forums.

I don't even remember.

I do remember my first post ever though. It was on one of the Monster Hunter boards (probably MHFU) and it was about how my girlfriend at the time would get pissed at me because I would get more excited about MH than doing anything with her.

I looked up the solution to a puzzle in either Wild Arms or Wild Arms 2 while at school. I did this for both games, but I don't remember which was first. Probably WA2...

I remember I actually drew out the solution on a piece of paper and took it home with me.
