Is it worth the time for the payout? I'm looking at some reviews for survey sites and it seems like an easy enough gig.

Not much...unless you do/qualify for 'ALOT' of surveys...

One place they let you cash out after earning $10.00 Bucks...it took me like 3 months to get $15.53.

So you're better off just getting a PT job or doing something else online for $$$.

I honestly don't know how you can make money off of that let alone decent money. I mean I was a "Nielsen Household" for a couple of years and all you really got for that was like $50 to fill out a TV watching journal for a week, then you wouldn't be eligible again for the year. That was random, it wasn't something that you can just sign up for. Also, it is like the only survey company I could see being large enough to have the funds to pay people to take surveys.

Then again, it is not something I looked too deeply into. Maybe you can make money off of things like that.

I know you don't make a ton of money but I spend a lot of time online or on my phone anyway. I do the Google Rewards surveys but I've only made $14 in a year because each survey is $0.10 to like $0.50.

go to r/slavelabor and you'll see a few options. I typically get about $4 but I have to leave a five star review. Most of the time you get the item so that's also a bonus. But you never know what it is til you have to buy it

I used to be a mystery product tester where they'd mail me unreleased products to try and I'd get to keep those and a little money. It was cool.

Now I just do the Google Opinion Rewards and another thing where I test websites for money

but it always ends up becoming either too long of a survey to be worth it, or youre disqualified from a survey for arbitrary reasons. Sometimes after youve filled out the entire survey.

This is why I stopped. I used to fill them out for gift cards to either Amazon, Starbucks, etc. It was getting annoying to fill out a survey that took about 20 minutes to only be disqualified. I didn't mind getting disqualified after the first couple of questions because they would pay 50 cents if disqualified.

There is one that is okay.

You get points for each survey, you use those points to bid on items. The trick is to not do enough surveys to take you out of the level of the item you want. They go from level 1 (song downloads and I think a $1 amazon card) - level 5 (some random "expensive" item or small vacation)

If you stay at level 1 you can snag the songs (some random website tho so they aren't that cool) or the amazon gift card for only a couple points.

Make a new account, stay at level 2 for those items.

Make a new account, stay at level 3 for the dinner and a movie item. Two tickets to a movie (up to $15 each) and a $50 restaurants.com gift card. If your city has good partnerships with the website you can get a good discounted meal. I unfortunately don't so I spend them at this bar. $25 off of $50.

Every month or so I get bored at work and make new accounts. I haven't paid to go see a movie in awhile so that's cool I guess.

With any of these websites tho you have to read the survey set up questions carefully. It could be a survey about denture cream and if you select the wrong answer to a question (I don't use denture cream) you're disqualified from the survey.

My aunt won a $5000.00 gift card from Best buy.

It was funny because she got an email saying she had won and she didn't believe it. Deleted it. Then she got another email. She deleted it. When she got the third email saying she had won and to call a phone number listed she decided to call. They told her she won and she gave them her address so they could mail it to her. She still didn't believe it. She got the gift card in the mail but was still Leary of it being fake so she went in and bought a game for one of her kids and it worked and they told her the balance she had left on the card. It was good! She bought a new frig.

She did say it messed with her taxes at the end of the year though as she had to claim in.

It was pretty cool.
