It's still there, sucking up money with no real promise of ever releasing. I think they dump a new alpha every so often to avoid being taken to court but otherwise the ponzi scheme lives on.

Last I heard, they were in trouble when it turned out they had moved their headquarters to the UK both to dodge taxes and because the UK has a "game makers fund" for developers that they could leech off of for more money. The reality is the CEO and his wife have already funneled everyone's money into international bank accounts, so the moment the heat turns up they'll just flee the country and live like kings until they die.

it's been in alpha for 2+ years. They're currently expanding the 3.0 release, which opens up landing on moons.

Squadron 42, the only thing i give a fuck about that's the single player mode, still has nothing to show and they pretty much don't talk about it.

Game is still a minimum of 3 years away.

I don't think that's what it's about. It's like, if you were a rich nerd and someone promised to make your dream game, wouldn't you invest in it?

If i was a rich nerd, i would buy all the collectors editions but i dont support unfinished games.

It's also currently ballooned to well above the development cost of The Witcher 3, and has now also been in development for longer. For something that in its current state is far less.
