ive had this a few times at work. its normally 50 year olds who work in the warehouse/manufacturing where the system requires everything to be in all caps and they are too lazy/stupid to hit caps lock.

that's quite annoying.

i used to work with a lady in her 40s who would literally use abbreviations like u, 2, 4 in place of the actual words. seriously, she would respond with "i will do that 4 u 2"
