it is super highly rated so far. i don't have time to see it in theater but i'll watch it someday. thor was the first movie i seen in theaters since like batman vs superman i think. been too busy working to go.

I think I've heard more about the Frozen short before the movie than the movie itself so far. People really don't like that short.

I actually don't hate Forzen but I wouldn't be surprised if it's bad.

I liked Frozen, this short was bad. none of the songs are particularly good and the plot is whatever

Coco was great though, def worth watching

also, the short is only 21 minutes. admittedly with trailers the movie actually starts like 45 minutes later

Basically, Disney had this Frozen program that was intended to fill a 30-minute TV block during the Christmas season. Speculation is that they weren't entirely convinced that Coco was going to do well, and it would be embarrassing if it flopped in Mexico right out of the gate, so they stuck it in front of the movie to draw more viewers.

The problem is that, since it was created for TV, it's like 20 minutes long even after the commercial breaks are removed. The quality is also not great and it contains something like 4 musical numbers.

From what I've heard, Mexican theaters actually ended up removing the short after the movie's first week of release, since the backlash was so great.
