As a follow up to my previous bricked iMac topic, I tried to it working today. It no longer displayed the crossed out symbol (). All I'm getting now is a black screen. I have a wireless Logitech keyboard plugged in and it only works for a split second after booting the iMac. I'll have to see if the original iMac keyboard still works and I have to try unplugging the wireless Logitech keyboard just in case.
Anyways, I stumbled upon videos about Mac thermal throttling. I didn't know this was a thing to be honest. I mean, it makes sense now that I think about it. Could this be a reason why my iMac possibly died? I was playing video games about 2 hours everyday. The fans sounded really loud during some gaming sessions, but I never paid much attention to it. As of right now, I still don't know if my iMac works. I'll have to keep looking into it. I couldn't get the recovery mode thingy to work because I was using a different keyboard. And since I only play PC games now, I've already started looking at decent budget priced gaming PCs. --- #pipebomb_phil http://i.imgur.com/atWQoAs.gif ... Copied to Clipboard!
