So, I was playing my 3DS at the mall, when suddenly this kid approaches me. He greets me and asks to see what I'm doing - kid seemed a bit off by the way he spoke, though. I told him I was playing games on my 3DS. I offered to let him look at the screen while I played, but for some reason he grabbed my 3DS! I was taken aback, and I wanted him to give it back. I thought he was going to play with it, but he took out the cartridge and threw it in the garbage can!

I managed to get back both my 3DS from the kid and the cartridge from the garbage, but of course I was somewhat angry with the kid. I scolded him by saying, "That's bad!" but he was just laughing. He eventually ran off and I was a bit ruffled, but I continued playing my 3DS. But a few hours afterwards, I look back at the incident and I thought it was funny because of the absurdity of it all.

P.S. I just need an Oshawott plush and I'll have plushies for all the unevolved starter Pokemon in existence so far!

Reminds me when I was like 19 I was playing Mario Advance (Mario 2 on gba) on the bus and two kids were sitting across from me and one of them just said out loud "let's take his gba" like they actually could. They were like 10. They didn't do anything though

Yeah, that's also what I thought about in retrospect - unfortunately I couldn't think straight at the time. But yeah, I should have told security for at least two reasons: Have the security explain to kid that what he did was wrong and since he was by himself (and perhaps a bit slow), he's probably more vulnerable to bad characters....

P.S. Thanks for the google search! But I'm hoping the plush in the tray ("Trainer's Choice") has a cheaper price....

Like I said, I couldn't think straight at the time so that didn't occur to me. I was more concerned with my gameplay session and getting my 3DS back than anything else.

Well 3D painting indie author is a multi-millionaire because of the 3ds. People just pay and download. genius I hardly play games other than scrabble and bridge on it. lol not kiddie stuff but what can I do? I have a bunch of paintings I can show on a big screen tv.
