I bought a few digital games, my dad bought my wife some Doc Martens and a snowblower (ensuring a warm winter).

Yeah, buying gifts for loved ones is fucking awful and shouldn't be encouraged.

Suckers! I managed to keep it less than $50 last year. (Granted, I basically bought a lot of normally expensive stuff at an estate sale for pretty cheap.)

I got a 1TB PS4 slim, a small 1080p monitor, some mid-high end wireless earphones, Nier Automata, Persona 5, Skyrim Special Edition, FF15 Deluxe Edition, Dark Souls 3 Complete Edition, Bloodborne and some indie games all for about... $600? I know I saved at the very least $300 so it was worth waiting.

As for gifts for other people I'll spend about $0 this season I assume.

To be fair depending on how big the gift giving pool is that isn't all that much. It's always expensive for those with kids for example in the run-up to Christmas and the average customer will probably have kids.

With that said I doubt I'd ever be one of those folk who put themselves in dept every year because little Jimmy MUST HAVE the latest toys/gadgets. It seems rather idiotic to say the least.

I've kinda made it a tradition to buy at least 1 video game on black Friday but I always go in the afternoon. This year I got AC Origins. I wanted Uncharted as well but it was sold out at the location I went to.

With so many different vendors to buy said products from nowadays whether in-store or online, I feel if one pays enough attention there is bound to be a sale on the same item on some day other than Black Friday and without the hassle of dealing with Black Friday crowds. Are there actually products that are cheaper on Black Friday compared to any other sales done throughout the year?
