Just finished the trilogy tonight, it was great. If you have any interest in the cyberpunk genre at all I highly recommend it.

I tried reading Neuromancer. I understand that at the time it first released it was probably something new and exciting, but I was reading it in like 2009 and it felt really dry and didn't seem to be going anywhere. I know it's a short book but I couldn't bring myself to finish it.

All 3 were great, but the 2nd one (Count Zero) felt more like a side story whereas the 3rd one (Mona Lisa Overdrive) truly felt like a continuation of the events from 1. They all have different main characters, but MLO featured some Neuromancer characters as well.

Yup. All his books from back in the day are incredible tbh. The pattern trilogy is okay but nowhere near as good. Nor are his other modern books.

Basically all tomorrow's parties and everything preceding it is amazing. Everything after is good but just not on that level.

Was kinda sad that Case never made an appearance in CZ or MLO :-(

CZ was fun and MLO felt like a great conclusion. Although I still want to know what happens to everyone after!

Yeah but given the very last line of Neuromancer it makes sense, happy it was explained tho.

I really enjoyed all them, surprisingly really enjoyed Count Zero if only because rarely do you get to follow such an incompetent main character in that sort of setting. Still I would say Neuromancer was the best of the series if only because it's insanely well written when it comes to the prose.

Curious if any of you have read The Diamond Age or Snow Crash. Really love those as well given the setting and such.

In Count Zero I enjoyed Bobby and Turner's stories, but I did not enjoy Marly's story and it felt mostly unnecessary. Im kinda torn on whether I like Neuromancer or Mona Lisa Overdrive best...

I think DA and SC will be my next reads :-)
