yep. they did a bit of bait and switch with amazon--it was previously about 2700 with free wall mounting, now wall mounting isn't free.

but i don't mind. i've got the mount, i'm setting up for my entire house to be repainted, and i'm gonna schedule delivery of the TV for right after that's done.

C7 is functionally the same as the B7 as far as picture quality.

Its main benefit is having dolby atmos sound, which really only matters if you're streaming from the TV to the receiver.

imo save the money and use it to get an upg'd receiver that can take dolby atmos source material from an independent 4k source. or a 4k source with dual hdmi out (ie, every modern video card for a pc)

How hard is it to mount a tv anyway? You find an electrical outlet and look behind to see which side the stud is on. Measure 1 1/2" wide on the wall and sketch where the stud is with pencil. Then measure 16" to the left and 16" to the right and sketch another 1 1/2" wide stud is. That's where you screw the mounting bracket into the wall at whatever high you want.

Totally agree. Nothing else really compares to the OLED 4Ks right now. I wasn't even in the market for a new TV, but this might be too good of a deal to pass up.

OLED gives you the best black levels. black levels, and the resulting contrast, is the most important aspect in a tv. other stuff as well, but basically everything that makes a tv good, an OLED is best at.

i bought this morning on my wife's discovery card, which gives 5% cash back and has price protection. if i see a further price drop anywhere, i'm applying for their price protection arrangement. it works on tvs and you can price match against any non-bidding site, presumably even the scammer sites.

FWIW the current advertised seller is walts TV, an arizona based company that is an authorized dealer. so youll have a 2 year base warranty and no tax.

if you prefer super long warranties costco charges tax BUT comes with a free 3-year squaretrade warranty (worth 90) and sling orange+hbo for 6 mo.

lol, I refinanced my house in October and closing costs ate up what I would have used for the tv and have done a few home projects. only got like $10k between checking and savings right now so probably shouldn't be spending any more until I get that back up to a decent balance.

Ive had this TV in my cart for the past two days and have been wavering on it. The one think actually holding me up is that I currently have a 3-inch high center speaker on the stand in front of my TV. This TV is lower (I believe about 2 1/8 inches from screen to bottom), so the speaker would cut off the screen slightly.

i'm with ya on that one. they do look nice but they're not for a commoner like me unless they drop in price and to add i won't buy a new TV unless the system requires it or it breaks.

when i had the ps4 i had to switch from CRT to HDTV that is the only time i upgraded.
