I was planning on buying it first week of December for my trip in on memorial day week. However, I had to use my credit card for some bull, so i kind of want to focus on that and get the ticket on february. Should I just say yolo and buy the ticket or wait?

I always say the earlier the better, but always check dates. You may find cheaper tickets if you pick a different day in the same period.
