All three injury PMs went out. In the meantime, we have an AI trade!

Redskins receive
WR Reggie Wayne

Titans receive
MLB Brian Urlacher

This trade is up for 24 hour peer review, and Stan needs to confirm.

Since I was the one who proposed this to Stan, I will explain my reasoning behind this.

The Titans do not own any of their first three picks. They have absolutely 0 reason not to go for winning and a playoff spot (which I always encourage). They also have excess talent at WR and with their recent switch to a 3-4 defense (it had to be revealed for the rest of the league to understand Stan), they need a better starting MLB to side with David Harris. Enter Brian Urlacher and the Titans/Redskins do what amounts to be a rental-for-rental trade since I believe both players will likely retire after this season. The only repercussion for the Titans (barring unforeseeable injuries) is that he will incur a $3+ mil cap penalty next season, which Stan understands and was ultimately okay with in our chat.

Given the ages of their starters, the Redskins are in win-now mode even if it appears to be unlikely that they will win. Their WR corps is pretty sad to look at, and Wayne would be a massive upgrade over everyone. If nothing else, perhaps the addition of Wayne will help the development of QB Matt Moore some. MLB Brian Urlacher, while their best MLB, has been blocking former 1st round pick Taylor Smith, and it's probably long overdue to see what he can do. Trading Urlacher will result in a cap penalty of just $1.12 mil, so there's little reason from the Redskins perspective to keep Taylor Smith from starting and not seeing if Wayne can help out at all in the win column or in player development.

I realize that I never had specific rules in place when it comes to trading with AI teams with negative B8NFLL cap space. In this scenario, the Redskins gain immediate cap relief (and when they sign a replacement MLB, they will likely still have cap relief given the lack of free agent talent available), have to pay a cap penalty just north of $1 mil next season, and likely won't be paying Wayne next season if he retires like I think he will. I'd say it is fair and considerate to the Redskins hazardous cap space issues.

Confirming

I have no idea if I'll have enough money to sign all these pending free agents in the offseason. But then again, I might not even be with the Titans so whatever.

Here is ranking of the average ages (in years) of all 32 teams as of the moment Week 1 was simmed. It will be in order of oldest to youngest. This isn't meant to mean that having an older team is better/worse than having a younger team or anything.

1. Minnesota Vikings - 30.21
2. Atlanta Falcons - 29.20
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 28.78
4. St. Louis Rams - 28.72
5. Indianapolis Colts - 28.70
6. Seattle Seahawks - 28.63
7. Washington Hawks - 28.58
8. New England Patriots - 28.44
9. Denver Broncos - 28.37
10. Columbus Pioneers - 28.32
11. Las Vegas Pumpkins - 28.29
12. San Francisco 49ers - 28.27
T-13. Buffalo Bills - 28.21
T-13. Oakland Raiders - 28.21
15. Pittsburgh Steelers - 28.18
16. Jacksonville Jaguars - 28.17
17. Carolina Panthers - 28.10
18. Washington Redskins - 28.04
19. Green Bay Packers - 28.03
T-20. Anaheim Lightning - 27.96
T-20. Mexico City Browns - 27.96
22. Cincinnati Bengals - 27.90
23. Dallas Cowboys - 27.89
24. Los Angeles Bears - 27.87
T-25. New York Giants - 27.78
T-25. New York Jets - 27.78
27. Toronto Wildcats - 27.77
28. Tennessee Titans - 27.53
29. Kansas City Chiefs - 27.52
30. Detroit Lions - 27.41
31. Miami Dolphins - 26.64
32. Baltimore Ravens - 26.51

Quite a few surprises. I was sure that the Redskins would be in the Top 10 with the Lightning and Jaguars right around there. I also did not expect the Dolphins and Ravens to have the youngest teams.
