So I'm probably getting fired tomorrow. I didn't show up last weekend because I had plans and requested off and got approved, boss scheduled me anyway because "It's the holidays lol I can do what I want". Despite no mention of this ever.They called me and I didn't respond 3 days straight, will go down as a no call no show. 3 strikes you're out system. They only scheduled me once this week(Busy holiday weekend) so I know what's coming. Funny thing is I was just planning on quitting anyway. Was just going to give my 2 weeks, but after last week it doesn't matter. I'm just not sure how to do it.

Quit before you get fired. Can be a big indicator for future jobs if/when your next employer looks at your record at this place.

Right...but how? I feel like it would be awkward to do it over the phone or in person. I've done in person before but I hated that job. I actually like these people it's just my shitty boss.

It doesn't matter, so I'd at least call and tell them you know what's up and that you quit.

I would call in advance and email. That way your co-workers don't get screwed by having to work down a person since it gives boss time to get someone to cover.
