and broke the plugin I can't live without. the one that let me have all my bookmarks, history, plugins, etc along the left edge of the browser.

that apparently no browser lets me do anymore. not even Opera, which that plugin was based on.

fuck everything about this.

Instead of bitching, how about just Google "Firefox 56" and get the old install that Firefox offers. You're fault anyway for not disabling check for updates in the settings.

2) no, this one is on Mozilla. Quantum apparently removes the ability for devs to modify the layout.

One of the buttons under customize is "sidebars" which at least gives you bookmarks and history options.

Though, yeah, I don't know why updates always want to redecorate and move everything.

I blocked all updating at 53.0.3. I have too many old extensions that have been abandoned. And try as I might, I lack the knowledge and skill to fix them. But I use them daily, and my life would be worse off losing them. I don't want things to break(Toolbar Buttons), lose functionality(Tile Tabs), or just be gone completely(FEBE).

It already sucks that I lost the ability to use DTA with VDH years ago. It just got worse from there. Download Sort hasn't been updated in years, and the old fix that someone kindly created for us stopped working too. Lazarus Form Recovery stopped working a few updates ago. Addon Dialog Manager. The list goes on.

And every alternative is considerably worse. And in a few instances, there are no alternatives.

But I am grateful to the original developers for sharing these extensions with us to begin with.
