The product owner is pissing me off. Manipulates me to do things and constantly criticizes my actions or inactions as scrum master.

I want to show up tomorrow and announce we are rotating scrum masters from now on.

I'll clear it with him first, but do you think it's a dick move to ask for a rotation?

I don't want to do the job any more. Why would I do more work for the same grade?

Nobody is answering because we have no idea what a scrum master is.

Consider it a lesson in real life. Product owners are sometimes demanding dicks with no real sense of time or money constraints who will always find a way to blame their unreasonable demands on others. Use this situation now to practice conflict mitigation and you'll be a better leader in the future. I know it sucks, but running from the problem won't prepare you for when it happens in the real world.

As someone in software I can tell you that the metaphor isn't as far off as you'd think.

How often were you thinking of rotating?

If you cant handle a product owner maybe being a Scrum Master isnt for you. Thats part of the job.

I was only say rotate so that someone would take my place. Didn't plan that ahead
