The final two palaces are pretty long. Like they could each take you 5 hours long maybe. They certainly feel around that long anyways

Well if you already know you're buying it, you could skip the direct and go in more blindly! It does have a plot spoiler that would probably be cool to experience firsthand (seems likely that it's something to occur about 1/3 of the way through).

the only reason I didn't watch it was because it went up as I was getting the kids ready for school, and then just sorta forgot about it after. I don't care about spoilers at all.

X2 at least has cartoony animu so it's not painful to look at, just much worse than X1's

Game took me between 100 and 110 hours to beat, but I did dilly-dally in an optional dungeon grinding money for far too long, for like five hours

The main plot does drag on a little, but I think it was exacerbated by me wanting to complete dungeons in one game "night". I probably would've been happier if I had alternated dungeons with social stuff every hour or something

yeah the game is built for you to take breaks rather than power through it, which might seem counter-intuitive to anyone with Persona experience because if you're in a dungeon and none of your party is tired you instinctively want to keep going forward.

Sojiro is the best social link at the very least

Sojiro is the best. He's taking everything in stride, welcoming more strangers into his home, closing his shop to seat them all while he makes sure they've eaten and contacted their parents.

Makoto is someone who sees a power structure systemically broken and exploitative, achieves success by applying external pressure to show the inherent biases, yet somehow still believes her best course of action is putting herself on top of the rotten organization

If we include Sojiro I'd say the top 3 most liked overall I saw were Makoto, Sojiro and Futaba. Ryuji is the least liked by far I believe.

I kinda get this because the lazy hothead is something Atlus does in like every game, and I get tired of him creeping on girls, but he's also the most believable hothead yet with healthy, admirable coping mechanisms. Ryuji channels his anger into care for his friends and activism.

Yea Ryuji is interesting to me because while he's my least favorite character of the party members and I think they try to drill in his hotheaded-ness a LITTLE too much it's still pretty on point.

Ryuji gets a fair amount of hate for constantly calling Morgana worthless when he doesn't really contribute anything to the team himself. That and he's a total idiot who almost constantly shouts about how your group are Phantom Thieves in front of tons of people among other things. Basically he's the hot-headed idiot minus all the fun stuff to make up for his stupidity where guys like Kanji are incredible

no I want a femme fatale Catherine-esque game staring Tae, Ohya and Goth Shadow Sae.
