I don't think it was so much my 20s as it was being out of school that made time go fast

Every decade will feel like it goes by faster than the previous one. That will probably continue until you die.

Exactly how I feel but more importantly I think of how much time I've wasted in my life. I dare say this will get worse as I get older although I don't feel I've lived the best years of my life yet.

Read this not too long ago but since I'm not a kid anymore I'm not sure if the time.

"You perceive time based on how many new experiences you have, and you have less new experiences as you get older."

I'm so glad they didn't go with "a year is a 5th of your life when you're 5 and a 95th when your 95". That's a pretty typically wrong but smart thing to say.

time seems to do the opposite of what you want it to. when you're a kid, you want to be bigger and to grow up; you want time to move faster, so it moves slower. when you're an adult, especially when you start to age, you want time to slow down or even stop, which just makes it do the opposite.

if for some bizarre reason you *couldn't wait* to turn 50, it would seem to take forever to get there. if you wanted to be 10 forever and hated every day older you got and saw each new year coming with dread, it would seem to just blast through the years.

another way to say it is, having too much time makes it slower, and having too little makes it faster. when you're a kid you have nothing to do; when you're an adult you have too much to do.

I'd agree with only one of three points, and I'd guess I'm older than most on these forums.

I look forward to every day, always new stuff (or recaps of old stuff) to enjoy.

I'm 71, and I have to say my second half-century so far is much better than the first. Maybe I should hush, my peers agree, but that seems to be a well-kept secret.

I don't know about too much to do. Since I'm retired, I can choose worthwhile things to do. A little wrenching at the garage next door helping folks with their cars, a little teaching at the university, a little golf, martial arts tournaments, cooking, flying lessons, video games, movies and music, woodworking, gardening, sewing, shopping, family and friends. Time never drags, and first-of-the-month bills seem to come too often, but I can't say that time flies either.

^Really? You're 71 years old?
I'm honestly kinda surprised(in a positive way) that an elderly person is interested in gaming.
I just hope I'm still interested in videogames when I'm retired.

But yeah, good for you
