I don't understand why it takes people more than 5 minutes to shower.

1 minute to rinse on.
3 minutes to use body wash and shampoo.
1 minute to rinse off.

Why do some of you take more than half an hour?

I'm obese, so yes. I have a lot of surface area to cover. Plus the heat feels good on my sore muscles. I have to do a lot of heavy lifting. And I'm not just talking about lugging my fat ass around.

I just saw this. More than half an hour is absolutely ridiculous. Even more than 15 minutes is a bit crazy, to me, but easily understandable for those that wash their hair and have a lot of it. Takes a while to work the shampoo and conditioner all the way through, and even longer to rinse it all out.

It's because I'm tired in the morning so showering slowly gives me more time to "rest" in a sense since I am not rushing.

I usually take about 5-10 minutes. Mostly because I enjoy taking my time and the feel of the hot water. It's relaxing. But yeah, any more than 10 minutes is just absurd.

Exactly what I meant. Just standing there with warm water hitting you is a nice feeling.

I tend to go overboard when shampooing and conditioning my hair, I scrub my body till it squeaks, plus I almost always listen to music or a podcast while bathing and I tend to get distracted.

Yes. But only because I'm skinny as fuck and that's the only way I can gain any body heat.

When I shower on my own I'm out in like 4 minutes.

Takes longer when me and my girlfriend shower together though since she spends a lot of time getting thoroughly clean since shes kinda dirty and only showers like once a week :P

Also every Friday I take a nice hot bath for life 20 min after showering too.

20-30 minutes, usually not showering alone, girlfriend 1 likes long showers though, she enjoys the hot water. Girlfriend 2 can be done in 10-15 minutes, and I usually take 15-20 minutes on a work day to make sure I am very clean.

I can't or I'd be late for class or whatever I'm doing in the morning. I'm the type that skips breakfast and sets my alarm for like 10 minutes before I need to leave, so I'm rushing tf around, but I gotta squeeze out them last few minutes of sleep is why I set it so late lol

My showers can take 10 minutes if I'm just trying to get clean, to an hour if I'm shaving. I don't have the water on the whole time while I'm shaving, but I do stay in the tub half full of warm water to rinse with during the long process.

I can't even fathom how a person can fully shower in 5 min.

It's like, do you even get that satisfaction of being clean and fresh? Or is the feeling more akin to walking in heavy rain.

No, but I used to. It was never about taking a long time to get clean. I'd listen to music/sing along, get lost in my thoughts, or just relax. The shower can actually be a pretty cathartic place, I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks so.

I went back on cold showers years ago (find it more invigorating, skin benefits are clear, jury is out on immune benefits or any others but it helps me to resist the winter cold a lot better and hard to beat not having a fogged up mirror/steamy bathroom). So these days it's rare for me to linger in there for very long, usually I just do what I need to do and get out.

Cold shower in the AM. No hair, so a quick rinse and runover with the body wash and Im out. 3 minutes max.

My showers average about 30 minutes or so. Half that time is just me standing under the hot water relaxing.

The shortest showers I ever take are the ones when camping and having to use the coin operated ones. 2 uses at 3 minutes each since half the first use is wasted waiting for the water to get hot.

At home. 20 minutes on average. Wash face with regular soap, shampoo hair twice, shave, wash body with regular soap, go over a second time with a nicer moisturizing soap then finally use a exfoliate face scrub. And a lot of times it's just nice to stand under the hot water for a while. Especially right before bed.

Up to half an hour before the shower for shaving, grooming my facial hair, shaving my head, ect.

It takes five minutes to do shower things, and then I like to just stand there and zone out for up to an hour. Not only is it relaxing, but the hot water is one of the few things that helps the pain in my leg. On really bad days, I've stayed in there for over two hours.
