Pretty sure queer and non queer dating is the same.

first and foremost your partner in life should be a friend, if you cannot have fun with them and enjoy their company, how can you spend all your time with them?

Be yourself, be confident in yourself, date someone you like personality wise instead of how they look.

Im genuinely curious on how you feel it is different? I 100% agree that not everything is identical, but honestly feel like it is very similar to hedro dating. Im mainly basing this assumption off of dating stories my coworker who is homosexual has told me.

There's a lot of guys out there who have girlfriends/wives and have no intention of leaving them, but they like to get a little man-on-man action on the side and keep it as just their dirty little secret. There's also the issue of having a much smaller potential dating pool, especially if one lives in a less populated area where all the gay guys have already all fucked each other because there's nobody else around.

For gay people in rural towns. But the same still applies to BDSM practitioners or any other group with an uncommon preference.

If everyone limits their dating pool to their immediate neighbourhood then everyone has a small dating pool. People move to surround themselves with their peers, this is applicable to all groups (note: Florida).
