Not for any particular reason, he just hangs out with bottom of the barrel scum. In the last 3 years he's...

1) Seen guy who blew his brains out (apparently because he was going to go to jail for beating his ex girlfriend whom he threatened into selling drugs. Apparently that guy and my cousin hung out all the time so... 2+2=...

2) Not one, but two separate groups of his friends have all gone to jail for murdering (or being accomplices to murder) people. And both times, he's gone on Facebook and shared the article to insult the "snitches."

3) Like, all of his profile pictures have him smoking 3-4 blunts at once, and he holds them between his fingers like Wolverine claws or something. He thinks he's being cool when he's being stupidly wasteful.

And then he goes and says the family shuns him because they decided to treat him as the "black sheep" when he's the one who routinely hangs out with felons and blogs about it like an idiot.

We used to be best friends as kids too. Even lived with me for a few months as a kid

Like, my entire family believes in God just to save face even though none of them remotely act in any sort of Christian way. They've had so much premarital sex, done some many drugs, hurt tons of people, never physically step within a mile of a church, and routinely spite others but then act like sharing a Facebook post about God makes them better than atheists or scientists.

There's no helping these people

then replace church with AA/Anger management/Self Help Seminars... I mean you come off as someone who for a tiny moment there actually seems to genuinely care about your cousins fate. Point is why not step in and intercede?
