You know what pissed me off about those games? The storage system. How is a kid supposed to know that the last box you selected has to have available spots in order for you to catch pokemon. Imagine my reaction when I go to Articuno and find out I can't catch him because the last box I checked is full. I understand those games were severely limited in what they could do but you seriously can't let me catch a pokemon and move it to an empty box?

The Old Man Glitch was removed, but MissingNo. still exists though it commonly freezes the game and causes other substantial glitches (multiple/invisible player sprites, NPCs walking erratically, bugged interactions with NPCs, etc.).

How... did you paralyze it? I thought electric types were immune to paralysis. Or is that newer than gen 1?

That was a gen 6 change.

Electric types are immune to being paralyzed with electric attacks, but even in gen 1 you could paralyze them with Body Slam and Stun Spore and such

Not exactly. The Old Man Trick to encounter MissingNo is fixed in Yellow, and most MissingNo that you can encounter by using the Long Range Trainer Glitch (more commonly known as the Mew Glitch) will freeze your game. But I believe I heard that if you encounter a MissingNo that doesn't freeze your game (certain ones won't) it'll duplicate your 6th item just like the trick worked in Red and Blue. It's just much more difficult, and I have no idea how to tell which MissingNo will or won't freeze your game.

EDIT: Someone beat me to the answer with a simpler explanation.
