Their lobbying efforts, mostly. It doesn't really have to do with their service or performance all the time. They are big into attempts to throttle and control the Internet because it is a big threat to their shitty outdated business model.

I don't use reddit, but their service was garbage for me for years. Not just slow, but frequent outages, way too high of prices, etc.
Fortunately I haven't had to deal with them for three or four years. Also they try to find ways to fuck you. --- "We're not even close" - Romans building Rome at the end of Day 1 ... Copied to Clipboard!

Who doesn't hate Comcast? They're a near-monopoly that overcharges like crazy and offers terrible service.

IIRC, Comcast pioneered putting limits on month-to-month data usager for its users. Good way to earn instant hatred in the age of streaming video.
