Vivi's overwhelming success comes as a surprise to no one. He has 13 top 25 finishes in 19 contests, with 7 of those being top 10s and 3 finals appearances with 2 victories. He only has one lower half finish overall, from a couple of contests ago. With this performance, Vivi drops a little bit from 77.68% to 77.01%, losing one spot to Terra to land at 8th place overall.

That lower half finish in the New Era puts Vivi a little lower there, but not much. He falls from 77.41% to 75.34%, slipping out of the top ten past Edea, Rydia, and Celes to stop at 13th place. Welcome to the top ten, Edea! Vivi was at 77.78% in the Old Era, good for 5th place between Celes and Rydia.

I never really thought of Yuffie as a comic relief character. Definitely light hearted and has a sense of humor but I don't really remember her doing much stuff that's supposed to be overtly funny per se.

Wutai is great and putting materia back on doesn't take long.

I never don't laugh seeing Auron's follow-up performance.

It makes him losing out to the jokiest character this series has ever had this time around make so much sense.

I had no problem with any of the Wutai stuff. Hell I do it as early as I can because Cloud/Yuffie at Golden Saucer is funny

I have never even unlocked Yuffie so I never had to put my materia back on

I guess comic relief is incorrect but shes definitely a bit of a foil to the rest of the characters in that game

Kinda like say, Selphie or Rikku (probably more Rikku though)

the OCD thing is part of it.

The fact that Wutai is in general a really aggravating and pointless arc is the other part for me.

And I like the Wutai quest as a whole pretty completely. I like doing the pagoda stuff with just her, I like the twist of not having Materia for a side quest too. And jokes like her returning it to you in the wrong fashion doesn't bother me. Some jokes have to be slightly annoying to be funny.

One of my favorite things about Cloud is how openly he trolls Yuffie and never feels any sympathy toward her whatsoever. I think Cloud is a relatable character, but that's perhaps his most relatable characteristic.

Yuffie being a heel isn't funny. It's just kinda whatever. Returning it all disorganized is kinda funny just cause it's neat detail.
