Is that really an expected responsibility for a sitting President - to tend to the welfare of his party's committee? I don't know anything about that, but my initial reaction is to give him a pass for actually having President things to do. It certainly seemed like Howard Dean left the organization in a solid state; why not blame his predecessors for fucking things up?

That's... interesting. It seems very "peculiar" that a candidate can raise funds through one organization and then dump the debt into another. It's basically an admission that the national committee is owned and operated by the President, which I had no idea was even implicitly the case. What Hillary was doing sounds even worse, though.

But an entertaining read nonetheless! Donna "the savior who didn't trust the polls and told Bernie she thought Trump could win while Gospel music soothed her soul" Brazile threw everyone under the bus.

Yeah that the DNC was already the Clinton party was always the common understanding - but again back to the world of reality, Bernie lost by *millions*. He didn't come close to winning the primaries at literally any point in time so the concept of him being robbed are still completely insane. None of this speaks anything to an effect of changing the results, especially not to the massive degree Bernie would've needed it, the game plan of his campaign for months was literally praying for the DNC to overrule the people which is a mind boggling insane delusion. Obama vs Clinton was much closer and even that Clinton was widely viewed to be dragging her heels.

If this were the case with more viable opponent, aka Biden, then yeah I could take the "robbed" accusations more seriously, but people going "omg Bernie would'a won but the DNC took it away from us!" are just not thinking rationally.

And in spite of the way less coverage, Bernie literally had rallies that beat some of Obama's in his prime.

He got people excited, which is the only way Democrats win elections.
