Cuphead complete. I actually had planned to play it last month when I purchased it, but I delayed it for the games of last month, so that worked out. Ultimately, I'm not a huge fan of the game. I know most people loved the aesthetics, but after a while, the cyclical animation really started to wear on me.

Finished the story of Super Mario Odyssey. Does that count? I hope so. I got about 250 moons, but there's no way I get the rest before time's up.

I really hate the food world. That thing is obnoxious to look at. On the flip side, most every other world was excellent. Really loved New Donk City; I think in many respects I preferred the streamlined efficiency of Odyssey to Galaxy, but personally the topsy-turvy Alice in Wonderland-like quality of Galaxy is more fun for me than the flatter (but better-made) Odyssey world.

I have no idea about AM2R and will let others determine that (Shoenen seems to think it should count), but from what I don't think that the 3DS remake and original Metroid II are interchangeable for this.

I like cuphead. I'm at the finale, but haven't beat king dice yet. I got past his minibosses once but died on his 2nd or 3rd card wave. Was using extra 2 heart charm, but now switched to smoke dash for easier evasion.

Got all coins and bought everything.

All A/A- on isle one bosses except B or B- on frogs. All B/B- on isle 2 and 3 bosses. Slightly worse scores on run and guns, lowest being C+ (fair, funhouse and ridge).

Most annoying bosses were frogs (slot machine takes forever and those goddamn bouncy ball waves), clown (2nd form mostly, plus 3rd form when he's on the right), dragon (fucking final form fireball splitty things), robot (everything about it was annoying lol) and ghost train (I don't like getting my cart parried because I can't get to the falling thing in time >_>). Cala Maria almost makes the annoying list, but I'll give her a pass because I beat her in just a few tries after buying the 2-heart charm and the only major issue I had with her was the first form being such a RNG clusterfuck. The petrification didn't really give me trouble.

Loved the mausoleum minigame. The 3rd one was actually pretty tough.

Not part of this project. Just saw cuphead in the title and decided to talk about it since I'm playing it.

It's definitely the type of game you can beat a lot faster the second time (like most, but this particularly). I'm also beating it a lot faster because I didn't buy a single power-up before I began my replay -- now I'm using whatever I can.

I'm doing a lot of the bosses on Expert mode too though so that slows me back down. Those flying levels are hard to do on Expert, but all of the first two isles are down on Expert besides those bosses.

I had a great run today where I could have made it to king dice with extra health but I rolled the fucking 8 ball for the first time and was complete unprepared for it :(

Smokes and Dominos are my favorite midbosses there. No trouble unless I make it with incompetence. Pretty comfortable too with the rabbit, though overhead parry wave gets me usually. I just can't react in time. Roulette easy too with smoke dash. Monkey... I don't really get it. I played it once, matched 2 card pairs, thought the fight was more about matching? But it died off screen and it's a plane fight so I wasn't even chasering. I don't really get it tbh >_>
