Playing around in DAZ Studio, and put this model together:

I like both but it would depend what season your in. If winter I'd wear the flats, summer the flip flops. I'd only wear the flip flops though if the color went with the outfit like hers do, black and white. Nice look all together. I give it a 10!!!!!

Don't know what the model is for, but I think the sandal version shows off slightly more detail, and also, the flats make her feel wrapped up in black (it feels a little excessive imo) while the sandals complement the rest of the outfit and add a tiny hint of contrast.

I failed high school art class though so I don't know if you should listen to me.

Interesting points. I do have material textures for a few different colors for them. I have to check and see if white/grey is among them.
