I've watched the Celtics more than any other team aside from OKC, that's why I'm picking him. He'll probably drop off as the season goes on but FFS he's leading a team to 14 straight wins after their 2nd best player broke his leg.

random non-sequitur but I've been hearing people say lately that Hincke's strategy has been proven right because Embiid and Simmons are good

but wasn't the whole point behind tanking that it was a better strategy than being what the Hawks were for the last decade plus, which is be a team that's barely good enough to make the playoffs most years but never bad enough to get a high lottery pick?

like if the Sixers become nouveau Hawks and just become a middle of the pack East team and never become great then Hincke wasn't right I think

that stuff is weird. the process is a fine idea but they also got the best player in the draft like three years in a row. they got Simmons and Embiid but they also could have gotten, like, Kidd-Gilchrist and Anthony Bennett. it's great that they got those two but who knows what they could have turned out to be.

and I'm still not sold on Embiid. he's amazing when he's healthy but I need to see more than 50 games. hope he's okay. I read a stat today that he only played like 1 game at Kansas more than 30 minutes? the heck
