I thought the teal pumpkin concept only means they have alternative options (i.e. inexpensive toys) for children with food allergies and not necessarily replacing all the candies with allergy safe options. Honestly, if we wanted to take into account all food allergies, we might as well not given out candy.
I personally was thinking to participate but my neighborhood is essentially dead of trick-or-treaters. Our house might get at most 3-4 groups a year so regular candy it is. --- "You must gather your party before venturing forth" "Go for the eyes Boo! Go for the eyes!" ... Copied to Clipboard!

Fun fact some artificial food dyes are banned in some countries in Europe as well as them needing warning labels in the uk because of the danger they can pose to your health.

The teal pumpkin is just for alternative treat options. It has typically been nut free. Any time I hand out candy I have a peanut free bowl (not just nutless items but ones from peanut free facilities). It's really not hard and there's still good treats.

My nephew has a peanut allergy (among other allergies, not sure on all of them) so I'm fine with people that wanna do that
