Where people can, they make a big stink about it because if the topic wasn't important then so many sites wouldn't make such an organized move to quash people talking. Shortly thereafter, many sites come out with strangely identically titled articles about how "gamers are dead," and "gamers don't need to be your audience." Many people ask a very pertinent question: "Why is this woman so important that we can't talk about what did or did not happen?" What would have likely died in the matter of a week or two is now something that grew so large it's talked about three plus years later.
