My dreams always tend to be more vivid and I always remember them more on days I've been to the gym as opposed to when I've just been a lazy ass

Or maybe it's just cause I get better quality sleep that day or what?

If there's any truth to it, I would guess it would have something to do with getting more REM sleep because your body is tired.

But I'm not a sleepist so I'm just blowing my asshole here.

I would guess the other way around, that poor sleep results in more remembered dreams, but who knows.

I know that if I drink too much coffee and then try to sleep, if I do manage to sleep it will be extremely poor quality sleep and since I can't get deeply enough to sleep my dreams will be much closer to my conscious mind and I'll remember them way more.

sleeping well is the opposite, you crash and wake up almost instantly with no recollection of anything.
