What punishment should this conservative jerk get?

The conservative high school student in Maryland who shockingly KICKED a chair out from underneath a liberal student who was not standing during the Pledge of Allegiance has been DISCIPLINED..although the school won't say what they did to him.

It happened at Winters Mill High school when the Conservative Jingle Bell Doofus dramatically kicked the chair out from the kid sitting down and then posted the video on HIS instagram writing "disrespectful" and said that the kid needed his "a**kicked"!!

The Pledge of Allegiance is recited EVERY morning during morning announcements across public schools but students aren't required to stand

The captin said "Some people don't understand how disrespectful it is to sit during the pledge or national anthem and deserves to get their a** kicked. More of y'all need (stand up) to these jack***** that sit during the peldge. If you have an issue with that i did today talk to me about it not your little buddy's behind my back". #standthef***up #america #dumba** #hedeservedmore #b*****

Dana Falls, the director of student services said the student has been "disciplined" but wouldn't say how because of the Family Educational Rights And Privacy Act. She said his behaviour was unacceptable as the student who was sitting did not indicate that not standing had anything to do with a protest but said on social media that he was protesting the current US leadership and called "forced patriotism" a form of "facism"

The liberal student said "I was practicing my right to free speech, a right given to me by the soldiers that i do respect, unlike what he says. I simply will not stand and pledge allegiance to a country that is run by a racist, sexist, bigoted, fascist. I will not stand for a country who mistreats those who aren't white and rich. Forced patriotism is fascism and nothing less. So i invite all to join me tomorrow and #sitthef***down if you believe that free speech is a fundamental right of the people, and that it should be protected"

Students have a right NOT to participate and teachers can't force them to

The CCPS handbook covers a lenghthy section on bullying as it's defined as "threatening or seriously intimidating and on school on property"

Dana said that it doesn't necessarily fall under BULLYING however as the school doesn't normally involve law enforcement when a student attacks another student unless it is a pattern of behaviour.

What punishment should this Conservative whacko get?.

Overlooking that the use of force is wrong when dealing with a speech issue, the stupidest part of this was recording and uploading evidence.

Suspension. Regardless of the reason, it's still assault and a peaceful protest should be respected over a violent one no matter the cause.

Tough call.

Suspension is like a vacation to idiot bullies who don't want to be at school anyway, but detention is usually thought of as a lesser punishment.

I guess... "in house" suspension, where he has to come to school just to sit in an administrator's office for several days bored out of his mind? Sure, let's go with that.

I'd rather see charges filed and let the bastard get a taste of what happens in the real world when you assault someone, though.

Detention or Suspension, I've seen way worse at my school growing up that resulted in far less than expulsion.

He needs to be made an example out of so that others don't try something similar thinking they won't face real consequences.
