Whew, the Four Saint Beasts arc is finally over.

I like that the spirit world isn't any more technologically advanced than the real world. Yusuke just got his next mission assignment via VHS tape. Apparently, his next mission is to stop this group from getting the Mermaid's Tear and using the Fountain of Youth or something like that. I was just beginning to wonder if I should root for Kuwabara to end up with Botan, and then he fell in love with the mermaid after seeing her on the tape. Oh well. The mermaid is Hiei's sister, it seems. Also, just met Kuwabara's sister for the first time, and she apparently has heightened spirit awareness, too. Guess it runs in the family.

I liked the next episode preview. "It's the kind of action you don't want to miss...so don't."

This one came up because Lopen and I were discussing X-Death in the SMFFFC topic, and I guess we're the preeminent X-Death fans on this board. I'm not a huge fan of FFV overall, but I think it's probably one of the more underappreciated OSTs in the series. It has an excellent set of battle themes, dungeon themes, and world map themes.

In Hyouka, I like how Hotaro recognizes almost immediately that he's no match for Eru and her irrepressible curiosity. While it would've been nice if that imagine spot in the last episode had been real, I'm glad he was able to come to grips with and acknowledge his own feelings for her in his own mind even if he couldn't vocalize them. They were unofficially dating for most of the show anyway, so I don't know that any big confession is totally necessary. They're essentially already a couple.

FFV has a good soundtrack. I like some of the dungeon themes too. There's a quite a bit of unique ones in there.

FFV has the worst soundtrack of any post-NES FF, I think. Though FFXII and XV aren't the greatest.

FFXII is probably my least favorite soundtrack for the mainline games. There are probably only a handful of songs from that game I would ever listen to on their own.

In Yu Yu Hakusho, a group of mafia bosses called Black Black, apparently made up of the ugliest bad guys in existence, place bets on who will win between Yusuke's group and whatever group of demons they're fighting at the time. Thankfully, in the episode preview, Yusuke offers me a "Buy one fight, get two free" deal so they dispose of the Demon Triad in a single episode. Yusuke and Kuwabara argue over whether it's okay to hit a girl and whether their opponent actually is a girl. I feel like you couldn't make these jokes anymore...!
