they feel very weird. for the past month i've just used the $15 cyberpower kb+m that came with my computer but decided to upgrade.

Now I have a razer deathadder elite and a razer black widow chroma x. The metallic finish on the keyboard feels very strange. Are people sure that this is better for gaming? I think I'm going to need a wrist rest.

the keyboard is so load too, won't this interrupt my gaming sessions?

If it's loud I assume you have blue key switches or equivalent? They're more for typing than gaming. Most people go for reds for gaming. Regardless, once you get used to them, you'll probably begin to prefer them over cheap rubber dome style keyboards.

yeah i think chroma x's are blues or greens.

Cherry keys are overrated. Then again, keyboards as a control medium are overrated.

I just use a cheapo logitech one, works well enough for me. I have typed a lot of code and essays and stuff, plus gaming and it still works great after like 3+ years

I agree. Cherry keys are overrated and should be phased out at this point. There are better alternatives, but people don't seem to want to switch. (No pun intended.)

I personally like Logitech's Romer G key switches. They're similar to browns in that there is a tactile bump but no click, however they require less force, have two contact things so the key still works if one fails and were designed with backlighting (which is overrated in my opinion and I would have preferred a model without) in mind. But there are plenty of other alternatives too.
