raid the plane's pantry?"

"What?" she chuckles. "Raid?"

"Yeah, we'll just see what there is and eat what we like. I'm paying for the plane and the food on it, we might as well have a big brunch."

"Okay," Raven says with another chuckle. "But, what would there even be? It's all canned goods, right?"

"And?"

"Well, won't it just be soups or pastas?"

"Soup can be breakfast," you say. "Besides, haven't you ever had lunch for breakfast?"

"Not really," she smirks. "Have you?"

"Many times," you say as the plane begins its ascension. "Traveling alone on the road like I have, you end up eating whatever is leftover from the day or night before. Sometimes it's pizza, sometimes it's a burger, one time it was half of a baked potato."

Raven giggles as things level out on the plane.

"The difference is, this time the lunch-for-breakfast will be fresh," you conclude.

"This is your captain speaking," Sherwood says. "You are now free to move around the cabin."

You and Raven unbuckle, and the two of you go into the pantry. You pull out cans of chicken noodle soup, tomato bisque, and even Spaghettios.

"This should be fine together," you say. "Chicken noodle is like spaghetti without sauce, tomato bisque is like sauce without noodles, and then Spaghettios is, well, if spaghetti was in little rings."

You and Raven get pots, fill them with the soups and some water, and get them to boil on the stove. You get bowls and spoons while Raven brings out cans of generic brand cola. You serve yourself some Spaghettios first, Raven goes with chicken noodle.

You two return to the main room and sit on the couch together as you turn on the television and enjoy your soups.

"Are you ready, kids?" the pirate asks.

"Aye aye, Captain!" the kids reply.

"I can't hear~ you~!"

"AYE AYE, CAPTAIN!"

"No..." Raven says as she changes the channel.

"You don't like SpongeBob?"

She looks at you as if to say "What do you think?"

"Well alright," you say. "Oh, you should like this series, though."

"The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy?" she says. "Why?"

"Because it has the Grim Reaper," you say.

"Ow!" Grim screams as a possessed tricycle beats him up inside his robe. "It's biting me boney butt!"

"And he's Jamaican," Raven notes.

"Yes, yes he is," you say.

Raven builds into laughter, which gets you to laugh. You and Raven enjoy the marathon of this series as you have your soups. You also have seconds, and even thirds, but you keep to Spaghettios while Raven has the tomato bisque.

A couple hours pass, Forester comes out of the cockpit and you inform him of the variety of soups, he serves himself and Sherwood a bowl each of the chicken noodle soup. With only tomato bisque left, you and Raven evenly divide that up and finish it off.

"I guess the tacos can be dinner, then," Raven says. "Or, second lunch. I'm not sure how this works since we had brunch."

You chuckle as you take the bowls to the sink. You wash them and put them in the plane's drying rack and return to the couch, snuggling up to Raven again.

"Don't spark anything," she murmurs to you.

"I'm just holding you tight, that's all," you say.

The plane arrives back at Ferris Air, touching down and pulling up to the same hangar as before.

"Thank you, gentlemen," you say to Sherwood and Forester as you and Raven disembark with Shadowfax.

"Feel free to come back again," Forester says, "with another $30,000,000."

You have a laugh and then leave the airfield behind.

"It's going to be a long trip back to Jump City," you say. "It's already evening here because of the time difference..."

"We might as well get a motel room and stay the night. We can then take that long, 12 hour drive back in the morning."

"Alright," Raven says. "I'll call the others to let them know."

Raven slips out her communication device and calls.

"Raven! It is so great to see you!" Starfire says. "Are you and Rorek done with your vacation of the romantic variety?"

"Almost," Raven says. "We're back in Coast City but with it being so late, we're going to stay the night. We won't be back in town until late tomorrow. How have you been holding up?"

"Oh, um..." Starfire says nervously. "Yes, we have been the fine and dandy all week. Nothing of interest to report to you. Nothing at all."

"Yeah, had some of that myself this week," Raven says. "Is the Tower undamaged at least?"

"Yes, no structural damage was done to the Tower. You might notice some things around the city have been refurbished, however..."

"Then Hawaii should be thankful nothing happened," you say.

"Just find a motel," Raven says as she gives you a pinch in the side.

"Well, we could stay at the same motel from before the plane ride," you say as you see it coming up.

"I guess so," she shrugs. "Starfire, let the guys know we'll be back tomorrow."

"I will!" Starfire says cheerfully. "I await your return eagerly!"

"Uh, sure," Raven chuckles. "See you tomorrow."

Raven puts her communicator away and you pull into the Motel 6.

"Oh, you're back," the man in the booth says. "And obviously that means you need a room, right?"

"Yes, sir," you say. "Do you have one or two?"

"Just one," he says. "But not the same room you were in before. Only one bed."

"That's fine," you say.

You take the keys the man holds out and pull into the parking lot. You park in spot number 5, to go with Room 5. You bring your luggage in, and you take the far side of the bed to give Raven the near side.

"Are you sure about sharing one bed?" Raven says as she looks at it.

"We've slept in the same bed already, we can share a bed again."

"Yeah but my bed looks about twice as big," she says as she sits down. "Now that I'm in it, it might be even more than twice."

You sit down beside her.

"Hmm, you might be on to something," you say. "But if we squeeze in very, very closely..."

You wrap an arm tightly around her waist and pull her right up beside you.

"See? The less space between us, the more space we have on the sides of the bed."

"Oh stop," she says with a smirk and playful smack on the leg. "The jet lag has me too tired for anything."

"Alright," you say as you pick up the television remote with magic. "But I'll be right here if you change your mind."

She chuckles as you turn on the television and start surfing the guide.

"Oh, more Family Feud," you say.

"No, we got enough of that show yesterday," she says.

"We watched one episode."

"Yeah, and that was enough."

"Spoiled sport," you say.

You move past the game show to check in on the news.

"-a prison transport," a news anchor finishes saying. "The criminals aboard were Maximillian Zeus, Queen Clea of Venturia, and a young woman claiming to be their daughter, but there was a mixed answer from Zeus and Clea."

"Aw bullocks," you say.

"Zeus and Clea were still found at the scene of the crash, alive but bound in their seats," the anchor continues, "but the young woman was gone, as was a vehicle in the U.S. Marshals' possession. According to reports, said vehicle was a 'cloud machine' capable of flight as well as generating lightning."

"Kitten caused the plane to crash?!" Raven says.

"It is therefore assumed the young woman could have flown anywhere within several hundreds of miles of the crash, but the only land formations within that range is Southern California and parts of Mexico. Authorities are being notified, but regular citizens should keep their eyes open and looking up at the sky. Call your local authorities if you have any information pertinent to this escaped convict."

"She's much more dangerous than just some delusional little brat," you say.

"Yeah," Raven says. "I should send word ahead to the Titans in case Kitten takes that cloud car all the way back home."

She takes her communicator out again as you pull out the box of tacos.

"Good, none of them got smashed or crushed during the trip," you say as you inspect them all. "Oh, but we still need drinks if we're going to have the spicy ones. While you make your Kitten Warning call, I'll go..."

You give her a soft peck on the cheek before getting up and going outside. You go up to Shadowfax, drive out and drive around until you find a 7-Eleven. You pull up into a spot and then walk inside.

You go to the refrigerator walls and look for anything that isn't alcohol or milk. You're not really in the need for a Gatorade or energy drink, though you don't really ever drink the latter. Then you spot the Slurpee machines in the very back.

"Ohhh..." you say as you marvel at the slush drinks. "Hmm..."

You take out your communicator and dial-up Raven.

"Rorek, what is it?" Raven asks with a bit of concern.

"Oh, sorry, I just needed to ask you something," you say. "Would you be okay if I got us Slurpees?"

"Got what?"

"Slurpees. They're slush drinks."

"Oh, right," Raven chuckles. "Um... Yeah, I guess so. What're the flavors?"

"They have cola, cherry, blue raspberry, and orange."

"Ooo, give me blue raspberry," she says. "A large one, too."

"Alright," you say as you pull out said cup size. "I'll go with... cherry. See you in a bit."

"See you," she says before hanging up.

You take out another large cup and then put on the dome lids. You fill one with all blue raspberry and the other with all wild cherry, then put in long straws. You bring those to the register on the other side of the 7-Eleven and the cashier calculates the price.

"That'll be $2.15," he says.

You hand him $2.25 and get a dime back along with the receipt. You put those away in your pocket and then take your Slurpees and exit. You use magic to hold onto them as you hop onto Shadowfax and ride back to the motel.

The sun is almost done setting by the time you return, a benefit of it being Summer. You park and return to your hotel room, Raven reclined back and watching something spooky.

"What is this...?" you ask.

"Paranormal Activity," she says as a body goes flying. "The original, when it was still good."

"Well I never saw this one either," you say. "Here, your blue raspberry."

Raven takes the Slurpee and sips.

"Yum," she says. "I already took care of reheating the tacos, with the room's microwave."

"Splendid," you say as you return to sitting on the bed with her.

You grab a taco, already unwrapped, and take a bite as a shadow lurks in a room. You and Raven quietly watch the movie while eating and drinking, your sounds of munching crunchy tortilla shells and sipping slush accompanying the screams and shouts of the actors in the horror film.

"Is my tongue blue yet?" Raven asks.

You look over at her as she sticks out her tongue.

"Yes," you chuckle. "And even your lips have a bit of blue on them."

"Nice," she chuckles back. "Your lips look to be showing some red from the cherry Slurpee, too."

"Then how about we make some purple," you say as you lean in, your lips aiming for hers.

"Rorek," she giggles. "... Okay just a quick one."

You and Raven lean into each other and lock lips, the taste of cherry and raspberry mingling on your tongues.

"Mmm..." Raven says as the kiss ends. "I like it."

You two smile as you gaze into each other's eyes. You then stay snuggled together as you continue eating, drinking, and watching television.

After Paranormal Activity ends, the sequel begins.

"Meh, you can change the channel now," Raven says as she sits up. "I'm going to shower before going to bed."

"I will avert my eyes," you say. "Oh, and I was already thinking for the morning, we would..."

"Get fast food breakfast. We'll eat on the road to save travel time."

"Sure," Raven says as she pulls out her toiletries. "See you in a minute."

"Don't use up too much hot water," you say, "I'll take my shower right after yours."

"Unless you want to join me?" she asks.

"What?"

"Kidding~!" she says as she scampers away.

Raven takes her toiletries and a towel into the bathroom and closes the door. You can hear the shower turn on through the walls. You don't remember Room 13 being that thinly insulated.

You take the time to prepare your own things, from toiletries to towel to new change of clothes. You finish your Slurpee and another taco as you wait for Raven to finish.

The shower shuts off, the bathroom door opens and Raven walks out wrapped in just a towel.

"Get in there so I can dress while you shower," she says. "And stop eyeing my legs."

You get up as the two of you share a smirk and a chuckle, and bring your things into the bathroom now. You then spot Raven's pants, shirt and undergarments in a clump on the floor.

"Raven, you left your clothes in here," you say as you use magic to levitate those through the doorway.

"Oops! Sorry," she says as she holds them in her magic.

You close the door, strip, hop in the shower and start it up. The hot water still has heat, but you still hurry through everything to be safe.

"Raven," you say as you wrap yourself in a towel. "Are you done dressing?"

"Yes," she says. "You can come out."

You exit the bathroom, wrapped in a towel, and return to the bed. Raven is dressed, but just in a tanktop and shorts.

"Don't look," you say as you sit down.

Raven smiles as she covers her eyes. You keep your eyes on her as you dry off, making sure she doesn't slide some fingers open. You put on your underwear and shorts, then toss aside your towel.

"You can look now," you say as you pick up your shirt.

She drops her hands and opens her eyes, but still smiles as she watches you slip your shirt on.

"So, what's next?" she asks as she picks up the remote.

You get on the bed and scoop her up in your arms to put her on your lap.

"Rorek!" she says in surprise, a wide-eyed smile on her face. "Whoa!"

"C'mere, you," you grin before lunging.

You kiss up along her neck, and she curls and giggles as you make your way to her ear.

"You look so good right now," you whisper as you run a hand up her bare legs, from ankles to knees.

"You look pretty good yourself," she whispers back as your hand reaches futher up.

You hand squeezes her thigh as you nibble her ear, and she gasps in delight. She then bites her lower lip as she looks up into your eyes. Her hand tickles your chin before she leans in to kiss you on the lips. You keep lip contact as you bring her in closer with a hand on the small of her back. Raven's hand reaches around behind your head to bring you closer in return.

You can taste the faint remnants of cherry and raspberry on your tongues as they dance atop each other. You kiss in little pecks, enjoying the aesthetic of her lips tinted blue as much as the taste of them.

"Lie back and let me do the work," you say.

Your one hand lifts her legs up as the hand on her back carefully braces her in the dip, and you kiss her calves and knees, making your way to her thighs.

"Rorek, no," she says, sounding like she's scolding but smiling all the while. "Come back up here."

She takes your face in her hands and brings you in to kiss her lips again. Your hands stay below the belt, however, as one wraps around her waist and tugs at her shorts while the other moves its way up the inside of her thigh.

"Mmm..." she hums, lips still pressed against yours.

Your hand moves inside the leg of her shorts, she suddenly squeaks and breaks lip contact long enough to bite her lower lip as she smiles. She returns to kissing you, your hand finds its way under panties.

"Rorek, yes," she says. "But, you need to come in from another angle."

Her hand moves yours to slip under the waistband. Raven arches and curls as your fingers play around down there. Her aura sparks hearts again, and she can't help but bite her lower lip. She looks deeply into your eyes, smiling as she gasps and moans.

"Do it gently," she whispers sweetly. "Slowly. So it can last."

You obey, bringing her around to recline on the one pillow. You use magic to turn off the lights and television since your hands are a bit busy.

You two share the pillow as best you can, but it doesn't matter as you keep your focus on gently and slowly teasing Raven's body. Her hand reaches down to return the favor as she gently caresses you below the belt. You rest your head right up against hers, whispering her name into her ear on and off as the two of you slowly doze off.

You wake up with a bit of a start, and your eyes adjust to the light of day seeping through the blinds. Your hands are still where you left them, so you carefully slip them out from where they were. Raven then wakes up, stretching before sitting up.

"Morning," she smiles.

"Good morning," you say. "I'll wash up while you get dressed and then we'll trade."

"Alright," Raven says as she goes to her luggage.

After freshening up, changing clothes and packing up, you and Raven return to Shadowfax and then return the keys to the man in the front booth. You pay for the one night and head out from the motel.

You go to a McDonald's drive-thru, order yourselves several hash browns and some coffees, and hop on the highway to head South. You eat as you go, and make good time in the morning commute.

"Say 'Ah'," Raven says as she looks to feed you, reaching around from behind.

"Aaah."

She brings the hash brown up to your mouth and you munch down on the crisp potato. And you're pretty sure she then takes a bite of the very same hash brown. Not hygenic, but rather romantic.

You ride for maybe five or six hours, morning until afternoon, and now lunch comes around.

You drive along until you spot a road sign that says a McDonalds and a...?

"Wait, Carl's Jr?" you say.

"It's a fast food chain," Raven says. "It's local to the West Coast, I think."

"But the logo looks like Hardee's."

"Because they're related companies. Under the same parent one, I think."

"Oh. How interesting. Well let's go there, and see how it compares to Hardee's."

You pull off the Interstate and up to the Carl's Jr. drive-thru. You take a moment to look at the menu as you wait in line.

"These all look really nice," you say in reference to the burgers they offer. "I suppose the 'Famous Star' and 'Super Star' are the equivalents to the third-pound burgers Hardee's offers."

"Well, I'll go with whichever is less to eat," Raven says.

The line moves up and you pull up to the speaker box.

"Welcome to Carl's Jr, how may I take your order?" a cheery young woman asks.

"Yes, I'd like one Famous Star no cheese, one Super Star no cheese, two large colas, t--"

"No just one," Raven whispers.

"One large order of fries," you say.

"And onion rings."

"And an order of onion rings."

"Okay so," the employee says, "a Famous Star without cheese, a Super Star without cheese, two large colas, a large order of fries and an order of onion rings."

"Exactly," you say.

"That'll be $24.50," she says. "Drive up to the first window please."

You coast up, and pull out $25. The first window opens, the young woman is there and you hand her the money. She gives you back 50 cents and prints you a receipt.

"Drive on to the second window for pick-up," she says.

You coast along, putting the receipt away in a pocket. You arrive at the second window, it opens, and the tray of drinks. Raven holds onto those while you take the big paper bag. You check inside and see the large fries and medium onion rings atop two wrapped burgers.

Raven puts straws in the sodas as you coast out of the drive-thru lane. You take the time to check the burgers and see no cheese on either, as you ordered.

"Here you are," you say to Raven as you hand her the smaller Famous Star.

"Wow," she says. "These are still pretty big. Are you sure we can't stop long enough to eat them?"

"We can spare some time to sit and have our lunch," you say.

You pull over into an open spot and stand Shadowfax up. You two dismount to then sit down side-saddle together. You take one of the large sodas from the tray and sip as you and Raven just sort of stare at the Interstate.

You unwrap your Super Star and take a big bite of the double patty burger complete with lettuce, onions and tomato. Raven does the same with her Famous Star, and she makes sure to lap up the "special sauce" of ketchup and relish from her lips and fingers. She then rummages in the paper bag and pulls out an onion ring to munch on.

"This feels kind of like those Carl's Jr. commercials," she says. "Where they just have people eating the food."

"I think I've seen one of those, but for Hardee's," you say.

"Really? Which one?"

"Umm..." you say nervously as you pick out a few fries.

"It had one of those models or whatever, didn't it?"

"Yes..." you say before munching the fries.

"Of course it did," she smirks. "So many of their commercials are like that."

"You could make for a good Hardee's Carl's Jr. girl," you say. "I'd watch you alluringly eat a burger."

Raven laughs while keeping her mouth closed because of the burger she's chewing on.

You both continue eating, letting cars go past you from the drive-thru. Even though neither of you speaks, you both smile, acknowledging that you're enjoying this time together.

"Okay, ready to head out again?" you ask as you finish your burger.

"Hold on," Raven says.

She finishes off her burger in two quick bites. She then nods as she throws the wrapper away.

You hop back on Shadowfax, Raven holds onto the bag as you still have fries and onion rings remaining. You put the cups back on the tray, making sure you remember yours is on the left, and hold it in place on your lap with magic.

"Maybe you should get a car so you can handle stuff like food easier," she says.

"And abandon Shadowfax?" you say. "I could never do that. He and I have been through so much together."

You give Shadowfax a pat on the headlight before putting on your helmet. You pull out of the parking lot and back onto the Interstate.

As you drive, you and Raven munch on the fries and onion rings in turns. She feeds herself one, then helps feed you one. You keep wanting to lick the salt off her fingers but she always pulls her hand away before you get a chance. As for the drive itself, you make great time on this second half of the trek, and arrive in Jump City limits roughly 15 minutes earlier than expected, which makes up for some of the time spent casually eating your lunch.

You drive up to the bay and switch on the Levitation Drive. You go across the water and drive up onto Titan Island. The moment you enter the garage, Starfire flies out of the elevator to greet you.

"Friends! It is great to see you have returned!" she says with a big smile and open arms.

"Thank you," you say as you park.

Raven takes off her helmet and dismounts as the other Titans catch up to Starfire. Starfire grabs Raven in a hug, Raven hugs back, and then Starfire pulls back, looking confused.

"Raven, are you well?" she asks. "You... returned a hug."

"She what?" the others say.

Cyborg analyzes Raven with a scanner from his cybernetic arm.

"I'm not picking up any signs of radiation, behavior-altering drugs or brain-eating parasites," he says.

"Hear how things were while we were away."

"Uh, yeah, sure," Robin says nervously; Cyborg and Beast Boy also look nervous.

Everyone piles into the elevator and rides up to the top floor. When it arrives, you and Raven go to your rooms with your luggage. You pull out your clothes, separate them by clean and dirty--there aren't that many clean items left--and put clean ones away in the drawers and the dirty ones in the hamper.

Everyone regroups in the living room and onto the couch, Raven right beside you as you face the others.

"So, start with when we left for Coast City on Monday," you say.

"Well nothing really interesting happened on Monday," Beast Boy says. "Cyborg and I just played video games all day, I dunno what Robin and Starfire did."

"We went shopping after Silkie went down for his nap," Starfire says.

"We even told you that," Robin says.

"Oh...! Right... Wait, shopping for what again?"

"Clothes," Starfire says. "For me."

"Really?" Raven says. "It seemed like you were okay in just your usual Tamaranian style clothes."

"Well, Raven has the casual clothes, so why can't I?" Starfire counters.

"I only got those clothes because I kinda need them," Raven says. "Rorek and I are going to his family's place in London in just over a week, and I can't just show up in my usual stuff."

"You did say you enjoyed shopping for them, though," you point out.

"Yes, I did," Raven says. "And I suppose Starfire's right, she can have casual clothes if she wants. So what did you get?"

"Um, y-y'know," Robin says nervously. "Just the usual stuff. Shoes, shirts, then socks and pants, nothing else."

"Yes, we did not buy any additional undergarments from the Secret of Victoria," Starfire says, her perfect poker face betrayed by her imperfect lie.

"Right," you say. "What about the next few days after that?"

"Oh, XL Terrestial showed up on Wednesday," Beast Boy says.

"Who?"

"Just some alien-looking guy who can grow huge," he says. "Nothing special, we beat him super easy."

"Yeah but because he grew so gigantic," Cyborg says, "he fell over and damaged a gas station mini-mart."

"Is that one of the 'refurbished' things around town we heard about yesterday evening?" you ask.

"No, Rorek, that was in reference to..." Raven says, trailing off as she nods at Starfire.

"Oh... Right... And that would've been Thursday, if I recall."

Raven and Starfire nod sheepishly.

"I made sure to apologize sincerely and frequently to the owners of the nail salon," Starfire says. "As well as the neighboring post office. I did not mean to explode like I did on Cheshire, but she very much irritated me."

"Who?" you ask again.

"Another villain," Beast Boy says. "She's really dangerous if she's one-on-one, but luckily there was the four of us."

"Plus Starfire getting mad at her kinda helped," Cyborg says. "She scared Cheshire stiff and we were able to cuff her."

"So you did have your own encounters with villains," you say.

"We heard about that huge prison break you two stopped," Robin says. "Impressive stuff."

"Thank you," you say. "It's a shame the US Marshals couldn't keep Kitten in custody, though."

"Yeah, she's craftier than we once thought," he says. "We sent word ahead to Titans South just in case."

"Good call."

"The only thing after that was Robin and Starfire going on their first date~," Beast Boy says with a big, taunting smile.

"Yes, we went to a movie, then to dinner at a restaurant, as is custom on a first date," Starfire says. "It was a wonderful night."

"Wow, that's great!" Raven smiles. "Good for you."

"Thank you," Starfire smiles back.

"Oh, before we forget," you say, "we did bring home some souvenirs for everyone. Just a moment."

You exit the room, then return with the Hawaiian shirts you bought.

"One for each of you," you say as you hand them out.

"Sweet," Robin says as they all try them on.

"Now we can have our on luau," Beast Boy says, giving a "hang loose" while producing a coconut mug from somewhere.

"Yes, let's have our own luau," you say.

"You sure?" Raven asks. "We only went to the one."

"True, but we at least know what the food is like," you say. "We can make some of what we had, I think."

"What did we have, again?"

"There were fruit drinks, salads, and we both had pulled pork," you say, "but then I had the chicken and you had the steak."

"Sounds like a lot of meat," Beast Boy says.

"Don't worry," you say, "I'll fry you up some rice and tofu, give it a luau feel."

"Ooo...!"

"Oh, I should get the picture they took of us," Raven says. "Be right back."

"Just head to the roof," Cyborg says, "we'll start setting up."

Raven leaves the living room, everyone else gets up to go to the kitchen and pull out ingredients. Luckily there is chicken and beef as well as rice.

You all head up to the roof, Cyborg fetching grills and tables on the way. Everything is set up in the very middle, and Cyborg lights the grills. You get the rice going in a pot to rinse and soften before you stir-fry them in the pan.

"Mmm," Beast Boy says at the smell.

"I've got the picture," Raven says as she returns to the group. "Look."

Raven and Starfire stand side-by-side to look at the picture together.

"Oh how wonderful!" Starfire smiles.

"Really? Thanks. I wasn't really sure how we looked in the picture."

"Oh you always look great," you say to her as you dice up the tofu Beast Boy gave you.

Raven smiles and blushes as she and Starfire walk over.

"I see in the picture, that you were wearing necklaces made of flowers," Starfire says.

"Yeah, they're called leis," Raven says. "They're customary items of greeting in Hawaii."

"As well as parting," you add. "Though, we didn't get any for leaving anywhere... Do you still have yours in your luggage?"

"I should," she says. "Okay, I'll be right back, again."

"I'll join you," you say. "Um, Beast Boy, here, you should be able to turn the tofu cubes over when they turn golden brown."

"Yeah, that's the best part," Beast Boy smiles as he comes around to your side of the table.

He takes the tongs and you follow Raven back downstairs. You go to your room and pull out your set of leis, as well as the coffee you bought, then regroup with Raven in the hallway.

"I figured, after dinner," you say, "we could have some of this as a dessert."

"Sounds good," she smiles.

"And I was thinking that during the luau," you say, "we could play some games."

"No..." she pouts.

"Oh come now," you say. "You were very talented at the hula hoop. I, on the other hand, was horrid."

"Y'know, if I'm going to learn higher level Arcane magic," she says, "you should learn how to move those hips."

You grumble, she giggles, then you chuckle.

"But seriously," you say. "Party games, yes?"

"I guess we could," she says. "Would it be hula hooping?"

"Oh no, I'm not letting anyone know I'm terrible at that," you say. "Instead, we'll try..."

"And what was that again?"

"They described it as horse shoes," you say. "We can look up specifics but I think it'll be fine."

"Alright," she says.

You two return to the roof.

"Leis for us to say hello to you," you say as you and Raven divide your four so that the others each get one. "And while the food finishes cooking, we can play some 'Ulu Maika."

"Hulu maka?" Beast Boy says.

"'Ulu Maika," Cyborg says, his robotic eye glowing. "A pitching game that was played as part of the festivities of the Makahiki season, used to demonstrate a boys strength and accuracy."

Raven and Starfire both raise an eyebrow.

"Or, girl," he says. "It's a game with a long history, it was just the original cultural expectations."

The girls settle down.

"Anyway," Cyborg continues, "it's rather similar to bowling, but it involves rolling disk-shaped stones, rolled down a 'kahua', or the court. Whoa, some courts have been measured to be over 100 feet long."

"I don't think we'll be able to do that here," Robin says.

"Well, modern day courts are only 15 feet," Cyborg says. "Totally possible."

Robin uses a tape measure to go 15 feet from one end of the volleyball court towards the other.

"15 feet on the dot," he says. "What now?"

"We put two wood stakes down, only six inches apart from each other."

"Well wood won't stick in the concrete," you say. "So..."

You create magical constructs to stand in for the wood posts.

"Now we just need rolling disks," he says. "They can be cement or hard ceramic. No bigger than three inches in diameter and one inch thick."

"Sounds like we're bowling with hockey pucks and trying to get them through a tiny field goal post," Beast Boy says.

"Pretty much, yeah," Cyborg says.

"We don't exactly having anything to make cement pucks with," Raven says. "Or ceramic ones."

"Aau contraire, mon amour," you say to Raven as you go to the ledge. "We have alchemy!"

You bring water up from the bay with the power of elemental magic. You then transform some of the water into the raw materials of concrete, and mix it with the water to make true concrete, which you form into disks of the specified dimensions.

"Here we are," you say. "Six perfect 'ulu maika disks. And with a little bit more magic..."

You color them to match everyone. Red for Robin, light blue for Cyborg, deep blue for Raven, orange for Starfire, green for Beast Boy, and white for you.

"Alright, how do we decide who goes first?" Raven asks.

"Rock-Paper-Scissors, of course," you say.

Everyone gathers in a circle.

"Rock, paper, scissors shoot!" everyone says together before you yourself put up
