A year ago, I was totally distraught and thought I'd never recover. But here I am now...

It really is... I remember the analogy a co-worker gave me once about how heartbroken he would be as a kid when he couldn't get a Ninja Turtle or something, and it genuinely felt like his world was crashing down in that moment. Obviously that is ridiculous as an adult.

Dude, I felt like my heart was ripped in two for a loooooong time. Even a few months ago, I still felt... funny... at the thought of my ex with someone else. It's this inexplicable... unreal feeling. Hell. It's hell. Love is hell.

Well to be more specific that you actually had a relationship in order to break up but yeah. It's better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all apparently.

This, pretty much. We deal with heart break too, it's just slow burn that grows stronger with time. While I'm sure a break up likely hurts more during the period you're experiencing it, you do eventually heal from it and move on.

i remember when my ex and i broke up. i was hysterical. we only dated for 2 months lol. :x

but now ive been in a relationship for 5 years with no sign of stopping. happiness :o
