The knife makes very litte sense in the context of the 80s, definitely fits more in the 50s original setting.
I carried a pocket knife around in middle school. Definitely got threatened with a baseball bat by a bully while my friends stood around with knives behind their backs just in case he actually swung. --- =E[(x-E[x])(y-E[y])] ... Copied to Clipboard!

Derry isn't exactly the standard 50s or 80s small town.
And idk if the new movie adapted it or not, but in the book there's another kid who scares the shit out of everyone who isn't Henry because he has legit soon-to-be-a-serial-killer tendencies, like locking animals in junkyard refrigerators. --- Audio Theater: For discussion of podcasts, radio, audiobooks, and the like https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/1364- ... TV and movies always have totally realistic situations and people that act in a realistic, relateable manner. Of course bullies used knives back in the 80s.
