That was a really damn good year. I had a hard time deciding but ended up going with Nightcrawler. Gyllenhaal's performance was so good, shame he didn't get at least an Oscar nod.

Guardians of the Galaxy isn't just one of my favorite superhero films. It ended up being one of my favorite films altogether.
I think I under how people felt when they first saw A New Hope.

I saw GotG in theaters four times. I've never done that before. It's rare that I even see a movie in theaters for a second time.

Interstellar was the best with Guardians of the Galaxy as a close second.

Also, I didn't know Whiplash was good like that. I have a coupon for a free Sony movie and it's on the list, so I'm gonna order that bitch right now.

I was thinking specifically of those two. Whiplash was intense. It's such a lean movie with quality acting, but I don't think I will watch it again. Nightcrawler... I watched without any idea of what it was. Damn, it was good, probably my favorite of the year.

Comedy? Are we talking about the same movie, the one with the drummer? Annabelle Creation was so silly, it might as well be a comedy. Whiplash is mean. Good movie and good actors.

well I mean yeah, it's a good movie and well-acted and I enjoyed it and everything, but it's so far from reality that it's ridiculous

the best (as in, most accurate) portrayal of a music teacher in film is probably Jack Black's character in School of Rock
