I actually got to play with a pro player a few months ago. It wasn't as magical as I would have thought it was.
A friend of mine is apparently a friend of them and asked me to join them to play. Didn't tell me the pro player was in it. At first I was like, "oh it some dude who named himself in discord after a famous pro player" but actually the pro started talking and I was immediately like "it is really that person!!!" I won't mention who they are or what game we played but they are a well known LoL player --- sigless user is me or am I? ... Copied to Clipboard!

yeah back when cod was good I got a copy of blops like 10 days early on craigslist. Servers were live but it was all youtube personalities playing, no one else had the game yet. Without fail, games either
A. were out of control shitshows in which one of the youtubers had a ridiculous blowout score or B. the youtubers all left because they were losing or doing mediocre, ie they all had like 3-5 k/ds so they all dashboarded, lol. It was kind of mindblowing to me at the time because they portray themselves as gods in videos, but for some reason it just never occurred to me that they were just like everyone else. Once in a while you had an amazing game but most of the time it was just a mediocre messy mess of a match. I don't know why it was so surprising to me looking back, but it was. Just more evidence that what people show you publically is rarely representative of what they actually are. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
