I believe you mean AFLW not AFL? (Not suggesting that it matters, just clarifying)

Saw this on the news last night and they spoke with some legal expert person (not a lawyer from memory, just some legal person) who said the way they worded the rejection leaves very little chance for it being legally classed as transphobic or unequal or whatever (not suggesting it should or shouldn't be classed as that)

I'm surprised Full Throttle didn't make something about this though.

Can see why the AFL have knocked her back for now but from what I read she passed all of the medical/physical tests to allow her to compete in women's sport based on what the IOC do.

If so than they should just let her play. Also according to people who have seen her play she's not that good or dominant anyway and is extremely slow because her lower testosterone levels means her big body is a disadvantage in some ways now.

honestly why are trans women allowed to play in women's sports? They have clear advantages

This is why there should be just one league. If a girl can beat the men, they deserve a team position - otherwise, go away - you aren't making advertising revenue

Trans women shouldn't be not allowed to play just because some cis women might threaten to quit. Which doesn't even sound like the case here, anyway, it doesn't sound like it was other players complaining.

Right, and the weight groups for trans-women athletes is in the men's league. Hell, this is why they have women's leagues period.

I'd argue there's more revenue in having two leagues. Even if one is arguably less popular*, that's still 'standard revenue + 'less' revenue'.

*Based on crowd turnouts, not any personal disdain towards women's leagues
