I've always wondered what prevented people from stealing ships when they're just sitting out at sea while the men row into port and pick up supplies. Clearly not every person on the crew is in the rowboat, but what about the times when they're anchored for a few months at a time. Do they keep men aboard to prevent thieves from stealing it?

Solid first episode. I don't know a single person's name, but I did pick up on faces and where people loyal too. At least on the surface. I don't know if I'll watch the second episode tonight, I might, but we'll see.

Since someone brought up Assassin's Creed, it's worth noting that some characters appear in both the show and in AC4. There's Calico Jack Rackham, Charles Vane, Anne Bonnie, and Woodes Rodgers, at least.

That said, I tried watching it right after replaying AC4, but only got a few episodes in. Liked the setting, but I'm just not that into TV dramas.

Glad you liked the first episode though. Season 1 is definitely the slowest, but it's still quality.
