If you were to become disabled, or die, would she be able to go on her own if she is, or when she gets old enough?

I've been trying to get a job. I really, really want one, but I don't have one.

If you're talking about people who are basically content to spend all day at (probably their parents') home and never bother to try advancing in life, I agree, that's perplexing.

Unfortunately, the same can't be said for me. Which is why I am in school, so I can get a high paying job, as I can use the money as a security net. The more money, the safer I will be.

I wish I didn't have to work. I would just play games, make videos, drawings, and music and stuff like that if I didn't need money.

Understood. I actually was able to take an early retirement so all is good.

When people say life changes in a blink of an eye... believe them. It is good that you are thinking ahead.

Probably the same things you do when you're off work, but more often. Stuff like art, relationships, learning for its own sake, hobbies, travel, drugs, volunteering, anything like that. When classical Athens hit an age of prosperity, the people there started churning out philosophy like nothing before or since. Things that are valuable and important, but not profitable, can finally be tended to if you don't have to work but your money is fine.

That's assuming they aren't just lazing about. Which is a thing, but not recommended.

Coming up with ideas and schemes to avoid doing both.

Retired. Teach in university extension, golf, compete in martial arts tournaments, take flying lessions, work on my sports cars, help out at the auto shop next door, act as legal representative for a blind neighbor. Garden. Cook. Collect music, movies, books, and videogames.

I did that for a year. I got really really sick of applying for jobs, I learned a lot of programming, and I got really depressed.
