I was very sheltered as a child and didn't even know that guys could like other guys. I always thought that masturbating was just boring and wondered why it took so long. Then I heard about gay people and began to worry that I was one, since I had only heard of "gay" as an insult. So I found a video of dudes making out and really liked it when I was 16.

Then I thought I was bi for a while before accepting that I had never had much interest in girls at all and that I only exclusively looked at guys, and realized that I'm gay around my second or third year of college.

Yeah, for quite some time I thought I was just gay and was rather resolutely against any kind of attachment to men. I did meet one though and eventually came to realisation I simply had negative bias/fear towards men in that regard which was something he helped me overcome and accept that I am actually just bi.

I even had people suggest maybe I was gay but I was like, no that's not right either. This is why I'm supportive of asexual awareness, so asexual teenagers don't have to feel broken and wonder what the hell is wrong with them because they're not interested in sex, or end up with people assuming their sexuality or telling them what their sexuality is because they're not straight.

in my early teens I thought I was gay but then I settled into mostly straight. Sometimes I'll beat it to some weird porn that might be gay but IRL I'm not interested in relations with men. Yes. No particular reason, I just dealt with OCD and awful intrusive thoughts. I worried that, like, looking at gay pornography would unlock this sexual revival, despite having an otherwise normal straight experience throughout my life. Was terrified that I was one push away from turning into a cock hound.

But I'm not sexually drawn to guys. So learning to manage my anxiety was pretty much the nail in that coffin.

I thought that I could have been bi for some reason in my late teens. When I was 18, I was really drunk, ended up kissing a guy. I fucking hated it and felt like I betrayed my actual tastes afterwards. I realized I was straight after that.
