Jotaro has gotten the most fights out of the cast of Stardust Crusaders. The reason it doesn't feel like it is because he's a bad protagonist. Joseph literally only has like 2 official fights, but he's just more charismatic and likable which is why you feel he has more screen time.

Wait till you see him actually gamble, that's probably his most badass moment for Part 3

I meant like actually speaking, not fights, Joseph almost never fights since his stand is shit

Polnareff though feels like he is the center of episodes as much or more often than Jotaro, which is annoying because Polnareff is annoying as shit

jotaro has little to no personality
he has cool moments but he cant really carry a story on his own. its why the supporting cast of part 3 is so much more memorable than he is.

she is just as badass as he is but she has a personality

Jotaro is boring in Stardust Crusaders. Too much like an angsty teenager. He doesn't become likable until Diamond Is Unbreakable, where he's more like a role model to the younger characters.

Yeah Jotaro is a terrible protagonist, but is a great compliment as a side character. Hell I personally think the heroic goody 2 shoe Jonathon is a better protagonist than Jotaro even.

Joseph's my favorite Jojo protagonist, but I also really like Giorno although I don't care for Vento Aureo. Giorno is like Jonathan (which makes sense since Jonathan is Giorno's real father lol), except not boring.

What y'all think of Giorno?

I was confused why Pol got so many episodes compared to a lot of the other characters myself. Like every other villain seems to have it out for Pol. But Jotaro will shine as the second half goes on. He's just not as likeable as most of the other crusaders though.

Araki likes to make side characters that outshine his main ones. It's worse in Part 4 where Josuke starts out as a more nuanced and likable character than Jotaro, but he doesn't get many great moments till the third act.

I never really liked Josuke. He's alright, but meh. His whole "insult my hair and I'll go nuts" gimmick was just stupid.

But man I want them to fight my boi Dio already. I don't really care about a lot of these God wielders. The brothers were good because they subverted the Show's formula. But Water guy, Magnet girl, were both drawn out, Anubis was good but still a little long.

It'll be worth it in the end, but yeah, the SC anime was stretched kinda thin. The following part was paced much better, but at the cost of a few funny moments.

But enjoy the downtime while you can. Once they get to "The Guardian of Hell" there's no brakes.

Eh, vampires like DIO were supposed to be seductive in every sense of the word. He does ramp up the homoerotic subtext in later chapters, though. Part 6 had DIO and Pucci laying shirtless in bed reading books.

Yeah, the whole "monster of the week" format did drag on me a bit, especially during the middle / late-middle bits. The ending was worth it for me though.

Yeah the whole Alessi episode was just as hard to watch as it was to read in the manga. Part 3 for the most part sucked hard because Araki pushed the whole monster/villain of the week formula to the extreme. In part 4, he tries to fix it by making most of the fights into "encounters" instead. I really liked Part 2 though, how crazy and unexpected it was. You never knew what was going to happen next which made it much more exciting to watch/read. Not to mention Joseph was always at a disadvantage, so when he wins it felt worth it. Jotaro for the most part is always stronger than his opponents with the exception of DIO of course, which is why the final fight is awesome, most of the time he can't beat them right away because of some stupid gimmick.

Yeah Part 2 is honestly just a fantastic piece of kino that never failed to surprise me. You get him exploding cokes, packing tommy guns and all that crazy shit and it's practically in every episode

It's lame that they just kinda fucked off Hamon in Part 3 since he used it for a lot more than just zombie killing

And I mean, you watch Stardust Crusaders and Jotaro practically isn't in the show. He's all over the promotional material, often being the only shown character, but when you actually watch it he's like a setpiece. I swear there are episodes where he says nothing more than yare yare or whatever

I watched an episode on Adult Swim recently and literally all he did during it was say "good grief" several times and call people annoying. Man is he boring.

That's how he is in the Japanese version too. He's probably considered the blandest JoJo protagonist but with a great supporting cast that was able to carry Part 3.
